This company was started by the legendary firearm manufacturer, John Moses Colt. His goal was to provide civilian arms customers with high quality firearms that would be reliable and accurate. Colt’s Manufacturing Company also produced many different types of ammo for these guns as well as other firearms. Since 1983, there have been over 50 different manufacturers who have manufactured AR-15 upper receivers in El Monte, California alone! The city is located on the El Monte Fault and has a rich history dating back to Spanish settlement in 1775. Today, El Monte is an important cultural and economic center for the Greater Los Angeles Area and its sister cities of Riverside and Chula Vista. The first Europeans to visit what is now El Monte were traders from Spain who landed on October 21, 1775 on what is now known as Rancho Santa Anita. They named it after Mount Montero in central Mexico City because they could not find a better place to land their shipboat anchored offshore. A post office was established at Mono Lake in 1878 and soon thereafter there were many businesses within the town limits: wagonmakers (the most important industry until after World War II), saddlers, printers, musicians and merchants who conducted trade withlos Angeles counties around them. The early morning fog created by the mountains shrouded everything but horseback riders passing through since daybreak on November 5th 1879 when photographer Edward Condon capture this sublime view of Mono Lake in foggy conditions while riding his pony over Donner Pass: In 1886 James Ketchum built up one of North America's largest citrus orchards operated under contract from Jardine Matheson & Co., Ltd.. In 1907 sawmills began operations here followed two years later by a flour mill which supplied local markets with flour made from sunflower seeds imported from Europe; this mill closed in 1911 due to difficulties associated with operating inside dried grapefruit trees during winter months when no wind chill was available! In 1916 construction began on what would become downtown El Monte; at that time it consisted of just six blocks south of present-day State Street between Central Avenue and Elmira Place where today’s City Hall Building stands! That same year the University of Southern California opened its new campus adjacent to downtown which continues to play an important role today as one of Northern California’s leading research institutions! Downtown business continued growing until World War II when military defense needs necessitated relocation away from residential neighborhoods into newly constructed housing developments such as Claremont Hills/Monrovia Ridge/Miramar Heights near Redlands Boulevard east of Interstate 15; these housing developments are still visible today but have long since been replaced by larger commercial areas such as Downtown El Monte Industrial Park off State Street between Central Avenue and Elmira Place . City services included waterworks (1885), police department (1890), fire department (1910), public library (1912), school district (1915)

In 1920 it joined the City of Los Angeles as a suburb. The first European settler in what would become El Monte was José de Cabeza y Tejada who arrived in 1869 fromMexico City and named his new land Rancho Cerro Gordo after his father’s ranch near contemporary Cerritos, California. The name may have been inspired by General Antonio López de Santa Anna’s victory over Mexican forces at Cerritos on October 12, 1847 which secured American independence from Mexico Cerritos had been part of Spanish Mexico for three centuries before it fell to Mexican soldiers under General Puebla on February 10th 1777 during the War for Independence. On November 25th 1860 US Captain William Halsey sailed intoSan Bernardino bay and anchored off shore just east of today's El Monte He observed Spanish cannonballs floating down river from Mission Bay to Fort Point Ferris . Captain Halsey called out to local Native Americans “You know where those cannons are?
