In 1932, Solly & Sons acquired Carey's interest in the company which would remain its mainstay until 1959 when it merged with Pabst Brewing Corporation to form Pabst Brewery Incorporated (PBI). During this time period El Cajon became one of PBI's most important manufacturing sites as it produced beer, lagers and ciders for distribution throughout Southern California as well as abroad. In 1986 PBI merged with Anheuser Busch InBev NV to become AB InBev SA (AB InBev). Today AB InBev is one of the world's largest brewers with operations across more than 60 countries around the world
