That same year saw enactment of California’s landmark law establishing Unfunded Mandates Reform which eliminated many wasteful subsidies enjoyed by GE and other large businesses within state government at that time including $7 million given annually to El Cajon through Measure EE – also known as “The cesspool bill” – without any input from local officials or residents!
