On November 7, 1881, gunmen opened fire on a group of unarmed civilians at City Hall Plaza killing five people and wounding ten others. This event is considered to be one of the deadliest shootings in history. In 1903, Ireland introduced an act allowing women to own weapons, which led to a surge in gun tourism across the country. Gun enthusiast groups began traveling to Ireland specifically for target shoots at local firearms factories and locations around town. In 1925, Dublin's Trinity College buildings were host to the world's first air-gun shooting competition with over 100 shooters taking part from all over Europe. In 1966-1968 two areas near downtown Dublin were targeted by sniper snipers who killed three people and injured twenty others while leaving their positions open. Although these shootings are no longer considered acts of terrorism they still cause tension today between locals and visitors who live or work near these areas

Dublin, California is a city in San Bernardino County, California, United States. The population was 30,907 at the 2010 census. Dublin is located on the eastern edge of San Bernardino and the eastern border of Riverside County. It is bordered by Ontario to the east and south; Cricket Hills to the west; and Redlands to the north. The first people known to live in what is now Dublin were Native Americans who hunted game in nearby mountains. In 1819, José Maria Bardeen established a land grant named Rancho San Bernardino de las Pulgas (later renamed Rancho Valencia) which included much of what is now Dublin. The first post office was established in 1822 in what is now downtown Dublin. In 1830, James Haughton acquired Rancho Valencia from José Maria Bardeen for $1 million dollars. This acquisition made Dublin one of America's largest ranching towns with over 160 homesteads and ranches located within its boundaries today. In 1845, surveyors counted 539 residents living in downtown Dublin when it became part of Riverside County as part of a larger move by county commissioners to open up rural areas for settlement. By 1870, however, only 114 residents lived Downtown while 1128 resided on ranches or farms outside of town limits according to census figures from that year alone! At this point rowdy days were common among settlers as there was little law enforcement available outside of their own communities! A new courthouse opened in 1895 which soon found itself filled withlawyers and judges seeking an easy ride through town elections even though they had no say over government policy! A devastating fire destroyed most businessDistrict buildings including the Courthouse & Post Office on April 15th 1896 & left many families homeless However due largely to volunteer efforts led by ladies such as Mrs John Boggs some reconstructed homes soon replaced those lost . On November 12th 1902 a group led by Elisha Walker purchased 130 acres adjoining present day Southbury Avenue from Rancher Wm Fenton for $2 million dollars creating what would become Orange Coe College - one of America’s leading colleges for women !! Many early businesses including hardware store Storey’s Drugs operated out OF THE FIRE IN DUBLIN !!!!!! This event helped ignite an effort called “The Great Firewall” against crime that continues today
