In 1903 the store was moved to its present location on North First Street near Interstate 15. Today's diamond bar is founded during World War II when many patriotic Americans came to work in what were then enemy territory providing diamonds for American soldiers and their families. Today Diamond Bar has a variety of businesses including two hospitals (one operated by Dignity Health), one grocery store/marketplace (Grocery Outlet), four banks (First Bank & Trust Company, Citizens National Bank - now JBIC ), three restaurants including two Chain restaurants and one Indian restaurant all within walking distance from each other making it an easy stop for visitors or locals alike looking for food or entertainment options. There are also several small shops that line North First Street such as Blacksmiths Lodge which does forge swords and arrowheads as well as knives and bowies; Wheelwrights Shop which manufactures farm equipment; Maidstone Saloon which offers a wide variety of alcoholic drinks such as Margaritas, Tecate Lagers, etc.; along with several convenience stores like Super Stop gas station where residents can get snacks like chips, soft drinks (Coca Cola-Lime)and candy bars; Kwik Mart there are various items like cigarettes and beer while hardware stores abound with everything from locksmiths to roofing supplies to carpenters

Diamond (1846-1925) was an American banker and politician who served as the mayor of Bakersfield from 1923 to 1925 and as a United States Representative from California's 6th congressional district from 1923 to 1925. He also served as the president of the Kern County Bankruptcy Court from 1924 to 1933 and as a trustee of the University of Southern California from 1915 to 1921. Emma Goldsmith Diamond (1880-1965) was an American businesswoman who co-founded the diamond company Alpha Natural Resources with her husband Benjamin S. Diamond in 1916. Her daughter Barbara Goldsmith married fellow entrepreneur Donald Wetherill in 1948 and they moved toDiamond Bar which they renamed their new home after their mother's birthplace, New York City's Upper West Side High School for Girls where she had been educated before moving to America with her family at age 10 in 1908 when her parents bought her ticket on the SS Maple Leaf out of Boston for $5 per person less than one year earlier
