In the early 1800s, Danville was a small town in California. It was home to a few businesses and many people lived off of agriculture. The town had two main roads- one led out to the sea and the other led east to Sacramento. Both of these roads were important for transportation because they allowed goods and people to move easily between different parts of the state. During this time, there were few optical products available on the market. However, some entrepreneurs decided that this was an opportunity and started selling various types of optical products including telescopes, binoculars, microscopes, watches, and more. over time, these entrepreneurs became known as "Optical pioneers." One such pioneer is Mr. John Capps who started selling eyeglasses in Danville in 1892. Mr. Capps' success helped spur innovation in optics and help make new products available to consumers across California. In 1915, he founded Capps Optical Corporation which continues to sell optics today! Today, Danville is still a hub for optical technology with many companies active in the industry including Binocular America Inc., Specter Optics Corporation (a producer of high quality reflex sights), Lighthouse Research & Development Company (the development arm of Lighthouse Audio), Vision Science Instruments Inc., Semiconductor Laboratory Inc., Eastman Kodak Co., etc.

Danville is a small town in Kern County, California, United States. The population was 9,471 at the 2010 census. It is part of the San Joaquin Valley. The first permanent European settlers in what is now Danville were Frenchmen who established a rancho (land grant) on November 13, 1824 from Mexican Governor José Joaquín de Almagro. The area that would become Danville was part of the Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana y Atascadero Cuchilla grano chico grantee. On February 17, 1850, Jose Maria Martinez and Manuel Garcia sold 2oo acres (0.81 km²) of land to Elias Dyer for $100 Daniel Webster became interested in this tract and offered to sell it for $2 an acre ($0.10 per sq mi). A group of men led by Webster formed the Danville Land Company and started selling land near present-day Danville for $1 an acre ($0.25 per sq mi). They soon realized they had made a mistake when there was no water available to irrigate their crops and they abandoned their efforts to sell land here; instead they went into partnership with Willard Hutton to purchase some additional farmland east of present day Danville from Juan Bautista Flores Borrero in 1853 for $3 an acre ($0.50 per sq mi). In 1865 General William Tecumseh Sherman's army passed through central Kern County while on its way down the Pacific NW road which changed all that as major white settlements began popping up along both sides of the road - Danville being one of them - giving rise to what would come to be known as "the Sherman years". By 1870 about seventy families lived inDanville with 640 lots Dimensions: 0–4 rods (.27–1 m), 4–8 rods (.39–2 m), 8 or more rods (.87–3 m) . With railroad arrival came increased industry throughout much of early 20th century including cattle drives servicing stations along I-580; agriculture took a backseat until oil production workers began arriving during World War II; thereafter many businesses opened up Downtown including several banks, various type stores & services etc.; after war ended most withdrew but some kept going such as KFC founder Colonel Harlan Sanders who built his restaurant right across Railroad Tracks from old Depot/now shopping center

Danville is a town in Solano County, California, United States. The population was 10,491 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Sacramento–San Bernardino–Oakland metropolitan area. Danville was founded on November 15, 1864 by Captain George H. Smith and his men while they were on their way to build a new ranch near Marysville. The first post office in Danville was established on December 1, 1872. The town took its name from General Daniel Vail who commanded an American brigade during the Mexican-American War and then served as governor of California from 1874 to 1880. Danville experienced growth starting in the early 20th century due to its location at the junction of two major railroad lines and its access to water resources that made it one of the most prosperous towns in Northern California. In 1924, Danville became incorporated as a city with a population of 22,000 people. The city annexed portions of Rural Vallejo and Pleasanton in 1935 and 1941 respectively; these annexations left Danville with a total population of 54,000 people asSAYDANVILLE
