It is located on the eastern coast of Angel Island and is part of the larger unincorporated community of Dana Point. Dana Point was founded in 1887 by Scots-Irish immigrants who named it for Captain John Dana (1786-1847), who had explored and charted the entire California coast from San Diego to Monterey Bay. The first post office was established in Dana Point on March 12, 1888. The city has been through many changes over its history - most notably during World War II when it became one of the largest naval bases in the West Coast and served as a major airbase for both American and Japanese forces. In recent years, industry has dominated downtown though residential development continues to grow along Marine Drive which runs south from downtown towards Yacht Haven Marina and NAS Miramar. The economy of Dana Point is primarily based on marine industry with some light manufacturing now taking place but most jobs are within maritime commerce or services related to that industry such as fishing, boating, shipping, shipyards/repair shops etc.. Downtown does have a few restaurants & bars however they are generally small businesses that attract visitors rather than Main Street businesses that may be more important to locals. Another early bullet type was the harpoon projectile, which was designed by French scientist Nicolas-Jacques Conte in 1795. The harpoon projectiles were made from metal or bronze and they would be thrown into water at high speeds so that they could enter through underwater holes or portholes. When they hit their target, the metal would cause a spark and it would release the fish inside the projectile! These projectiles were very effective against seafood targets such as shrimp but also dangerous against humans because they could easily kill them if not handled carefully. From here on out, all bullets began to be developed using more accurate technologies such as powderpuffing (a process where lead is forced down a tube into minute pieces so that it can strike other objects), metallic jacketed bullets (where lead is enclosed within a metal jacket), and finally firearms – from pistols and rifles to tanks and missiles – all of which required precise ammunition design for optimal performance

Dana Point is a town in San Diego County, California, United States. It was founded on December 12, 1874 by Jedediah Smith and his wife Mina. The population of the town was 821 at the 2000 census. Dana Point was first known as "Port Costa" after its location on the Pacific coast near present-day Dana Point. In 1875 it changed its name to Dana Point because of complaints from neighbors about the smell of salt water in the area. In 1906, petitioners to change Dana Point's name to "Dana Beach" were successful and the town received that name for two years only; then it reverted back to its original name on November 16, 1908 when voters approved a resolutiondaley distance from shoreline extended from east end of harbor district to west end which included present-day Dana Point Village. The towns growth stalled until World War II when industry began booming and jobs opened up in shipyards, aircraft factories and other related businesses. After 1945 the economy declined as federal spending cuts curtailed military production and job opportunities dried up. However, during recent years there has been renewed development around parts of town such as downtown along with some new housing developments nearby. According to the 2010 US Census figures, there are now over 11,000 people living in Dana Point including 4500 residents who work in ashore businesses or services that contribute $2 billion annually to local economies across Southern California !
