In 1907, Mayor Waddell donated land to form what is now known as Town Square Park; it included a playground and skateboard park today. These days Main Street features several businesses including two banks (Jenny Lacks Jewelers and Dillard's) as well as numerous restaurants including Verizon Wireless Arena (now Primm Stadium), Jack Nicklaus' Golf Course (now Las Vegas Mob Museum), retirement homes, schools and more... Today there are still many reminders that old times were different here!

Cudahy is a small town in San Bernardino County, California that is located on the eastern edge of the city of San Bernardino. It has a population of approximately 2,000 people. The community was founded in 1884 by John Cudahy and his wife, Emma. The first post office was established in 1886. The Cudahys were among the original settlers of San Bernardino County. They are buried at Riverside Cemetery. In 1914, they built a home on Rancho Bellemont which is still standing and is now used as a museum shell for local history exhibits and events. In 1942, John Fonda filmed "The Godfather" here while shooting scenes for the film at their rancho Bellemont property.
Cudahy is a small town in Orange County, California. The population was 5,898 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Irvine Spectrum and is located about 12 miles east of downtown Irvine on State Route 66. The community was founded in 1907 by John Cudahy and his wife Lillie Gifford Cudahy as a small agricultural village near what is now Disneyland. In 1929, the couple bought land east ofIrvine to build what would become known as the "Hollywood Hills". The hills were renamed for them in 1959 when they sold their holdings to US Steel Corporation. The Cudahys re-established themselves as farmers until their death in 1988, when their son John H. Cudahy III took over management of their property. In 2006, he sold it to two brothers from Rancho Mirage who had been interested in purchasing it for years. They added more than 1,000 acres (500 hectares) to the town's official boundaries, making it one of the largest rural towns within Orange County by population size. In early 2007, Mayor Donny Davies announced that he was running for office against incumbent Supervisor Chuck Bischoff; after months of campaigning, Davies won with 54% of the vote over Bischoff's 36%. After taking office, Davies set out to make changes to how things ran in Cudahy--from electing officials directly rather than through appointed boards and commissions to creating more opportunities for local businesses and giving residents more control over municipal decisions. He also began work on developing a new city hall which will be built on land adjacent to Village Hall Square and serve as both an administrative headquarters for Cudahy and its community services center; this project is expected to be completed by fall 2009
