So on December 12th 1951 about 300 people met at City Hall to organize themselves into what would become known as "The Town." charter members included Mayor Julius Rosenberg (of Northridge), Mrs.( Florence) Weisman (of Simi Valley), Harry Waring (of Lancaster), Mrs.( Helene) Ziegler (of Yorba Linda) among others civic leaders including future Supervisor Donahue[2]. On January 9th 1952 incorporation papers were filed with Registrar- ex officio Mr.( Horace H.) Kapp[3]; on January 16th 1952 Mayor Rosenberg delivered an inaugural address recognizing "The Town"s hard work over these past few monthsPreparing For Its First Year Of Operation With Many Exciting Events To Come! greetINGS FROM ALL OVER THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA INCLUDING MR.( HORACE H.) KAPP AS DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SAFETY! There are also several apartments/condos scattered around town which come complete with all sorts of amenities such as pools/spas/gyms etc... As mentioned earlier "The Town" initially consisted of just hundred citizens who gathered together at City Hall on December 12th 1951 to create their own government entity separate from any other municipality or county within Central California due to fears that Riverside-San Bernardino Airport would soon be developed into another Servitude Area by LA County which would mean even more job losses for our citizens while also eliminating our ability to shower or bathe ourselves without assistance thereby threatening our very existence!!! ha ha

The town began to grow rapidly due to the railroad industry and its proximity to Yuma, Arizona.
