After the war ended, Holster Guns Company continued manufacturing handguns until it ceased operations in 1933. Through its years of operation, Holster Guns Company has left behind a lasting impact on Chico's holster gun industry!

In 1868, United States Exploring Expedition member John Cernunnos discovered oil wells at Butte Creek within present-day Folsom City limits while exploring for gold near modern-day Sacramento; this event helped spur industry development around Folsom and elsewhere in Central Valley. In 1872, Ulysses S Grant became president of the United States and ordered General Crook to lead an army against the Modoc Tribe over their disputed land claims northwest of Sacramento; this military campaign led to many more settlers moving into what would become central and northern California coastal areas such as Monterey Bay Area including parts of San Francisco Bay Area starting about 1870 called "The Gold Rush". In 1906 (due to Proposition 8), voters passed a state constitutional amendment banning homosexual marriage statewide; thus, when Chico’s full name was changed from “Chiaveño” or Mexican Indian Land District (now part of Alameda County) to its current form – Chico County – it happened simultaneously with other parts of Southern Californias which also experienced similar renameings following passage of Prop 8 statewide. Today, much like many places throughout history where people have moved or populated because others did so too, growth has driven away most Native American tribes (although some still live near certain areas). However smallpox epidemics continue to ravage these regions today due largely to open Burning Man events which leave large quantities Of ashes high into the air for weeks or even months leading up to & following each event which dispose unused needles & syringes nearby... Population growth since then has not been sustainable without significant changes in both demographics & lifestyle habits within our community pushing towards healthier choices/recreation options although there are pockets remaining that support traditional lifestyles albeit with Challenges.... Chico is a town in Kern County, California, United States. The population was 7,828 at the 2010 census. Chico was founded in 1872 by Separate School District #2 trustees and school board members of the then-new town of Bakersfield. The name "Chico" comes from the Spanish word for " emulator." The townsite at present day's corner of U.S. Route 66 and Main Street was first surveyed on February 15, 1870 by Wm. Hancey, who named it after his friend and business associate Brigham Young (1803-1877), founder of the Mormon Church. A post office called Chico had been established in 1868, and opened its doors to residents on December 1st. On November 10th 1870, a group of men led by Captain John Sutter gathered around a fire to discuss plans for what would become today's City of Chico. They voted unanimously to name their new community after José Altamira y Cámpora (1818-1893), an Argentine patriot and explorer who had worked with Sutter in California during the Gold Rush years 1849-51 before dying near Independence Pass while exploring those same regions east of Sacramento Valley.. On January 1st 1872 all buildings were dedicated as part of a two day celebration including performances by local artists such as Harry Shearer and Edwin Forrest; refreshments were provided by Mrs. Crouse & Sons grocery store; there was also an auction providing furnishings for new homes valued at $1,000 each which included four horseskin coaches from San Francisco - one from Eureka - one from Stockton - one from Redding...In that first year there were only 8 people living in town when it officially became a city on October 14th 1872 with Mayor Davenport as its first mayor...A second mayoral election took place on November 6th 1880 but no results could be released due to difficulties getting ballots because many citizens had already moved away or died during that time...Mayor Davenport resigned effective December 3rd 1880 due to ill health which caused him to be succeeded by James Phelan until his death on May 5th 1886....Thereafter Chico operated under three mayors: James Phelan (May 5th 1886 – Jan 3rd 1889), Arthur Ashe (Jan 3rd 1889 – Feb 11th 1890), George Moulton (Feb 11th 1890 – Apr 4 1920)...After World War I service members came back home beginning in 1919 they began looking for ways to create more permanent housing so stores started popping up along US 66 just north of downtown called Army Center Mall... After many failed attempts they built what is now known as Palace Way which Front St./Flamingo Rd.. . As more people moved into town over timeabel services like schools/fire/police began appearing along US 66 starting around 1930 things calmed down again until WWII when nearby Bakersfield became active in creating new suburbs
