In 1925, two brothers named John and Al D’Angelo started manufacturing firearms at their father-and-son business, D’Angelo Brothers Ammunition Company. That same year saw the launch of the first importation of handguns into California from overseas; these were Belgian-made FN Model 1910 pistols used by Italian troops stationed in California during World War II. By 1938, several other firms had entered into the BB gun market in Southern California; these included Browning Arms Company (later Browning & Berg), Winchester Repeating Arms Company (later Winchester Repeating Arms Corporation), and Colt Pistol Manufacturing Incorporated (later Colt Industries). It was not until 1941 that Norma USA became involved with the BBgun industry when it purchased Bausch & Lomb Firearms for $1 million. However, Norma did not begin production of handguns until 1945; this was after Bausch & Lomb had been merged into Remington Arms Corporation. The population of the town numbering over 25,000 people is made up of Catholics who attend one of two Catholic cathedrals- St. John’s or Our Lady of Lourdes- and several Protestant denominations including Methodists, Presbyterians and Baptists. In addition to its religious affiliation, Cathedral City also has a sizeable business sector that includes banks, insurance companies and retailers. The history of Cathedral City dates back to 1876 when an irrigation canal was built through what is now the Townsite District. At that time, it was just a sparsely populated region with few buildings other than simple adobe huts used as ranch homes by local farmers. By 1915, however, the town had increased in size to include a school and post office as well as businesses such as A&P Drugstore and Hardware store. In 1924 the first cathedral was built on land donated by Father Antoine Jarreau which served as both church and school until 1954 when it became known as St. John’s Cathedral after the then Bishop of Los Angeles (later Cardinal George Pell). The construction cost $1 million dollars and took six years to complete due in part to donations from many civic leaders including Mayor Hennessey (1911-1972) and Businessman Waddell Smith (1882-1964). It was dedicated on October 17th 1926 by Archbishop George Mundelein with Father Jameson serving as priest celebrant. At its height there were over 1,500 citizens living in what is now Cathedral City according to current figures released by the city government . Despite this large population growth over time small problems began cropping up such as lack of water supplies for crops or crumbling infrastructure which led to loss of jobs in certain sectors during economic downturns throughout the 1970s while crime rates have remained relatively low during this same time frame . After World War II things changed dramatically with downtown becoming an important commercial center while much smaller neighborhoods outside downtown gradually lost their status until they were effectively obliterated following Hurricane Harvey which destroyed most buildings within blocks radius around central Plaza de Armas . The decline in trade significance didn’t stop there though; many former storefronts turned into parking lots or were converted into housing units during this period making it difficult for businesses that once thrived in downtown areas find new locations . With all these negative changes taking place nearly sixty years ago one might think that anything left would be long gone but fortunately not so! Over recent years various efforts have been made at revitalization including restoration/replacement/updating/ adaptive reuseof historic structures some dating back thousands of years old while others are brand new creations arising from scratch like Paseo del Norte Marketplace which opened last year adjacent to St John’s Cathedral offering unique shopping experiences unique enough for Chicagoans but still accessible without being too touristy or overwhelming .. Overall it seems like quite a bit has happened since 1926 when Central Plaza de Armas first hosted official functions associated with Los Angeles County government………………………………………..

The Cathedral City, California history begins with the founding of the city in 1853. At that time, the area was a small farming community and there were only a few buildings. The first structure built in what is now Cathedral City was a Methodist church. The first post office in the city was established in 1855 and it served as a stop on the Stagecoach Road across from present day State Route 27. In 1861, the city became part of Riverside County and its first mayor, Edwin Biddle, served for four years. In 1892, Cathedral City merged with other towns within Riverside County to form the new city of San Bernardino. By 1900, however, the population of San Bernardino had decreased to less than 1,000 people and by 1907 it had shrunk to just 100 people. From then until statehood in 1912, San Bernardino functioned as an unincorporated community under control of Riverside County. During World War II, San Bernardino played an important role in providing food for military personnel stationed throughout Southern California. A major production center for aircraft parts was located at nearby Tuskegee Air Force Base during this time and many jobs were created for local residents who contributed their skills or labor during wartime production shortages. After World War II ended andSANBROSIO fell back into obscurity except through periodic tourist specials*, it experienced rapid growth starting in 1960 when Interstate 5 (now I-15) was constructed adjacent to town between inputs from both county hands* *. With its new access drive* *.the pace of development quickened as residential subdivisions went up around freeways*. Interstate 15 brought even more traffic which caused further congestion on old Business US 60 which led to demolition of most businesses along I-15*/I-5 interchange*. The final straw came when developers started building hotels on undeveloped land near I-5/I-15 junction without giving any consideration to environmental impact or lack thereof (*see photo below). The result: One hundred fifty years after incorporation *.* one business district has been completely dismantled while another has seen exponential growth due largely to interstate highways
The first European settlers in California were the Spanish, who arrived in 1769. The rest of the Californios (Natives) came later, and by 1821 there were over 500,000 of them living in Alta California. In 1846 Mexican nationals took up arms against American forces during the Mexican-American War, and for a time Californio forces fought side by side with their Mexican counterparts. In 1849, after several years of skirmishes and negotiations, Mexico ceded California to the United States as part of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo; this event ended more than fifty years of war between America and Mexico. In 1853–54, while gold was being found in what is now Nevada and Oregon, prospectors started moving into central California to find it. By 1860 most of what is now southern California had been explored and raided by prospectors. Gold was discovered at Sutter’s Mill on January 24th 1860 by James Wooton and John Ensign Gunnison; within weeks 5 men had mined 119 pounds (60 ounces) of gold from an area just 20 feet (6 m) wide at its peak. This led to one of the largest-scale land rushes in American history. Over three hundred thousand people descended on central California in search of gold nuggets that would turn into dollars. Over time various mining districts were formed: The Central District included parts of today’s Fresno County, Kern County, Bakersfield County, Santa Barbara County and Ventura County; The Northern District Included parts today’s San Bernardino County., Riverside County., Orange COUNTY., Modoc County.) In 1861 President Abraham Lincoln issued Executive Order 10646 which granted citizenship to all those born or naturalized in America east Of Mason-Dixon Line including those living east Of Oak Ridge Road (). This order was followed by Executive Order 11695 which established “California Territory” extending from Oregon To the Red River Valley Including all present day Texas Within limits set forth on maps prepared by Governor Goodwin Miller
