Gun chokes (also known as choke holds) are a type of choking that is used to restrain someone. They can be done with either hands, but the most common way to do them is with one hand. Gun chokes were first patented in 1892 by Dr. George W. Weisenthal and Dr. Emanuel Lasker, two physicians from New York City. They were designed to prevent suicide by shooting victims in the neck or chest and killing them quickly. From their invention until the early 1960s, gun chokes were used extensively in law enforcement and prisons across North America. Many famous criminals, including John Dillinger and Al Capone, were restrained with gun chokes during their criminal careers. In 1969, the US Congress passed the Gun Choke Prohibition Act which made it illegal to use gun chokes in any manner on anyone without prior permission from a law enforcement officer or prison official. This law still stands today and makes it very difficult for people who need to restraint an individual to do so safely and legally. Despite its prohibition under federal law, gun chokes continue to be popular among police officers and other professionals who need to keep individuals safe when making arrests or conducting other lawful activities. The problem now facing these professionals is that there are no restrictions on how they may use this technique outside of regulated settings such as prisons and jails where they are used officially for safety reasons only. As more people find out about this effective method of restraining individuals, they will likely shift their reliance away from traditional choke hold techniques in favor of this new form of restraint instead

Buena Park is a city in Orange County, California, United States. The population was 54,080 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Los Angeles metropolitan area. The first European settlement in what is now Buena Park was made by Spanish colonists on October 24, 1769, when Captain Francisco Pacheco and his men landed at Point Loma and founded San José de Buena Park. In 1821, Mexico granted land to General Antonio Jose de la Costa for the town's development as a site for military posts and artillery batteries. The town was named after Maria Teresa Bueno y Costilla, widow of Don José Mariano Bueno y Costilla who died in 1786 during the Mexican War of Independence. In 1858, Manuel Garza donated 8 acres (3 ha) of land to build a park that would become known as Garza Park after him. On July 7, 1860 it became an incorporated municipality with its own government with Aideen Everson as Mayor and James Gorman as Deputy Mayor. On November 11th 1860 voters approved incorporation into Orange County by act of the county board which became effective on December 1st 1860 under new name “City of Huntington Beach” with Aideen Everson elected Mayor and James Gorman appointed Deputy Mayor. On January 2nd 1861 City of Huntington Beach adopted Second Municipal Charter No: 3-11-1861 which provided for all necessary powers and functions including water supply, firefighting services and streetlighting etc., to be exercised by City Council through an Executive Committee consisting only ofAideen Everson mayor & James Gorman deputy mayors
Gun chokes, or devices that prevent the flow of air from an exercise firearm, date back to at least 1835. The earliest known example is a device called the “Pipe” which was designed to muzzle firearms in order to prevent them from firing. Firearms manufacturers began using choke tubes beginning in the 1870s in order to improve accuracy and performance. Choke tubes became common on large-bore handguns by the early 1900s. Choke tube shotguns were first developed in the 1940s and 1950s as a means of increasing firepower for hunting purposes. Today, choke tubes are still used on many firearms, both civilian and military. They are often used in combination with other parts of a shooting system, such as barrels and triggers, to achieve desired results.

Buena Park is a city in Orange County, California, United States. The population was 33,624 at the 2010 census. It is located on the edge of the cities of Anaheim and Santa Ana, about 18 miles (29 km) south of downtown Los Angeles. The area that would become Buena Park was first settled by Native Americans in the 1860s. The name "Buela" means "good place."
The city was founded in 1887 by Andrew Wolkentin and his wife Anna Maria Fontana as a small community on an undeveloped lot near what is now State Route 54. In 1888, Wolkentin donated 1 acre (0.40 km²) to the City of Anaheim for its incorporation as a city. In 1902, Anna Maria Fontana donated 2 acres (0.80 km²) to Buena Park for its incorporation as a town. On July 15, 1907, Buena Park became an incorporated municipality with a population of 553. In 1923, much of what is now Ventura Boulevard was added to Buena Park as part of the annexation of neighboring Fullerton into Anaheim.
In 1933–1934, Harry S Truman served as Mayor and then Vice President of Buena Park before moving to nearby Van Nuys in 1934. The Municipal Airport opened in 1945 and became home to both US Airways Flight 459 which crashed on January 17th 1948< ref="/newsweek/4801_ronald_michelson"> Ronald Reagan crashes while flying for US Airways over Burbank, and Republic Airlines Flight 847 which crashed into mountains near Simi Valley on February 14th 1989< ref="/newsweek/8471_michael_francois"> MichaelFrancois crashes his Boeing 707 into Mount Wilson.
