In 1923The City Council voted to rename Buena Park Boulevard once again after Lt Colonel John Jellinek who had fought in World War I (1914–18). From 1924 until 1957 all bullet production took place at Empire Manufacturing Company located on East Broadway Street in downtown Los Angeles before moving their operations to San Bernardino County where they continue production until this day. On November 14th 1893 by Resolution No. 615 passed by both houses of the State Legislature Buena Park became an incorporated town under state jurisdiction with powers granted only to that body. The first post office was established in Buena Park on December 12th 1898 by Wm Silliman from Laguna Beach with mail brought from Laguna Beach via horseback through Chapman Pass (now Interstate 15). From 1912 until 1978 when ZIP Codes began being assigned all businesses had their business name matched up with their street address so as not to conflict with other businesses which also had ZIP Codes (except for Escondido which still uses its original community name). In 1978 USPS discontinued delivering mail within cities/towns limits so allBusinesses received unique ZIP codes starting with 92601

He built two houses there: Hearst House (now called Starwood) and Bel-Air Hotel. The north side of Hollywood Boulevard became Hearst Place while the south side became Burbank Boulevard. In 1902, he added a third house—the Beverly Hills Hotel—toBel-Air Hotel complex on Nowak Avenue near Highland Drive. Hearst died in 1907 and his widow sold all but a portion of their holdings to Roy Miller for $3 million dollars ($ more than what Hearst had paid for them). From then until her death in 1957 she was known as Mrs.. Roy Miller owned most of what is now Anaheim County including Anaheim City which he merged with neighboring Buena Park into one municipality on November 5th 1954 under the name "Anaheim" also taking over much ofpunishment given to citizens that voted against him during his term as mayor starting January 1st 1951 until his sudden resignation effective March 15th 1953 because he faced legal problems brought about by Roy’s investments.) The post office at 417 N La Brea Ave opened on July 10th 1865 (). The first telephone line went up at Pacific Bell Company’s original building at 624 N La Brea Ave., operated by Western Electric Telephone Company on October 15th 1915 (). Anaheim Municipal Water District #2 was organized February 14th 1922(). On April 16th 1925() Anaheim voters approved measure declaring themselves an independent city outside county boundaries when annexation through referendum failed due to lack ..of representation from other vecinity.(City Council Resolution No 5176) On May 4th 1941 local merchants gathered signatures sufficient enough To Fulfill Request For An Ordinance To Annex The City Of Anaheim And Its Vicinity To The County Of Anaheim . The Buena Park neighborhood was originally developed in the early 20th century as a working-class residential area. The name "Buena Park" is Spanish for "good place." It was named after Don Pedro Garza de la Vega, who donated land to the city in 1912. The first home built in Buena Park was a two-story cottage on Encanto Drive. In 1916, the city of Los Angeles annexed Buena Park and many of its residents moved into the new community. By 1925, there were more than 100 homes in Buena Park. In 1938, the City of Los Angeles decided that it would be better to annex all of downtown Los Angeles so that it would have an even stronger business district. This caused many people in Buena Park to leave their homes and move into downtownLos Angeles. By 1951, only about 10 percent of the residents in Buena Park still lived there. However, things changed again when Hollywood began to develop around La Brea Tar Pits during the late 1940s and early 1950s. Many people fromBuena Park started moving into Hollywood because they wanted to be close to the action. By 1965, 75 percent of the residents living in BuenaPark had commuted out each day to work within city limits or outside metropolitan LA for jobs opportunities. In recent years, much has been done to revitalize and update what is now known as 'The bueno park neighborhood'. There have been several projects funded by HUD specifically targeting this population: 1) Improving infrastructure including sidewalks and streetlights; 2)creatingcommunity gardens;3)updating features such as paintjobs and landscaping;4)investigating ways that parking can be increased without impacting qualityof life
