Bullet culture began to develop in the early 1900s when riflemen started using ammunition that was designed specifically for their rifles. Today, Benicia is home to a number of businesses that specialize in bullet production and sales. One of these businesses is Bullet Brothers Inc., which specializes in producing high quality bullets for firearms enthusiasts all over the world. Benicia has a rich history with gunfire, dating back to the time when it was an important Native American trading post. In 1853, General George Armstrong Custer and his cavalry unit were stationed at Benicia before they moved on to battle against the Sioux nation near South Dakota. The Battle of Black Hills left many dead and Custer was critically wounded. This led to his reputation as one of America's most famous military commanders. After recovering from his wounds, he returned to duty at Benicia and later became a Republican candidate for Congress from California's 2nd District in 1876. In 1906, ammunition manufacturer Smith & Wesson opened its first manufacturing plant in Benicia. This company manufactured nearly everything related to firearms including pistols, shotguns, rounds for machineguns and revolvers (it would eventually become known as Browning). It wasn't until 1918 that this company merged with Remington Arms Company Ltd., which helped shape what we know today as Uzi-style automatic handguns (theifles) into what we know today as rifles and shotguns. In 1935, The Bencitto Rifle Company was founded by American gunsmith John Fenton with help from British entrepreneur Leslie Mannix Beattie (founder of Lubeck Firearms). The company made bolt-action rifles called the Taurus Model 638/9mm Automatic Pistol which became very successful during World War II because it fired projectiles weighing just 0.22 caliber instead of traditional lead balls like other pistols did at the time! After World War II ended however, demand for assault weapons decreased so much that Taurus stopped making pistols altogether due to financial limitations forced upon them by government regulations! However, some guns still continued being produced under license by various firearm manufacturers throughout the years such as Colt Manufacturing Company who produced replica 1911 Walther PPK handguns (.40 S&W) until 1995! In 1978/, an agreement was made between Remington Arms Company Ltd., Beretta Official Firearms Corporation (BofA), and eight other producers allowing each producer exclusive rights to produce certain types of cartridges chambered exclusively for their respective firearms models; thus beginning modern cartridge technology!!! These agreements lasted until 1994 when new regulation changed these restrictions giving everyone else some control over production!! Today though there are still numerous manufacturers who continue produce classic calibers like .357 Magnum etc...

Benicia was founded in 1847 by José Antonio Narváez and his wife, María del Carmen. The town was named after Benicia River, which ran through the area. It became a post office in 1849. In 1851, the first school in Benicia opened. The town grew rapidly and by 1865 it had over 1,000 residents. By 1870, Benicia had a store and three churches. In 1872, the first electric light was installed in Benicia. In 1897, the city limits were expanded to include present-day Arcata and Murphysborough townships. In 1952, when California turned into an all-Democratic state, Benicia became one of the first cities to Smithsonian its political history as part of its "Political History Collection." That year also saw the opening of the city's only library (then located at 601 Main Street). The library has since been moved to its current location on State Street. In 2006–2007, Benicia underwent major renovation that included re-landscaping of downtown streetscape with new gardens and public spaces; restoration of historic buildings; installation of new streetlights; and creation of a new park along West Cliff Drive called Gateway Park/University Boulevard). The city is now home to several museums including the California Palace Museum (opened in 1907), San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park (opened in 1998), Oakland Museum of Art (opened in 2002), Chamber Music Hall (now known as Pacifica Radio Berkeley) and City Lights Puppet Theatre Company (founded in 1986).
