Belmont is a small town in Belmont County, California. It is located between the cities of Santa Clara and San Jose and is part of the San Francisco Bay Area. The population was 7,975 at the 2000 census. Gun chokes were first used to muzzleloader shooters in the 1800s. Rifle chokes were developed in the early 1900s as a way to reduce recoil for target shooting. Shotgun chokes became common after World War I when shotguns became more widespread. Rifle and shotgun choke tubes are typically made from metal or plastic, with one end permanently fitted to the barrel by means of a screw or rivet and the other end threaded into the gun’s receiver. A variety of choke methods are now used with handguns, including Weaver cheek rammers and Bergman breechblocks (a type of gas-operated lever action rifle). Choke devices have been found on every continent except Antarctica, suggesting that they originated independently on each continent. The most common type of choke device today is a water-pump choke which attaches securely to both barrels using rubber o-rings (see photo). Other types include disconnector chokes (a type of shotgun magazine catch) and progressive Trigger Brakes (a type of handgun hammerlock grip safety).

Consequently, the local police department decided to start enforcing Gun Choke Laws which prohibited people from bringing any firearms into town without first getting a license from the city hall (and sometimes additional regulations).

Belmont is a small town in the San Bernardino County, California, United States. The population was 3,811 at the 2010 census. It is located on the east side of San Bernardino and namesake of Belmont Park, which is located within the town limits. The first people to arrive in what is now Belmont were Native Americans who hunted deer and other game in the area. In 1824, José María Narváez discovered oil shale near present-day Belmont when he hit a rock with his horse and spurs while hunting deer nearby. This led to his naming of the area after himself – "Belmont" ( Spanish for "oil shale"). Belmont post office was established on March 15, 1827. The first postmaster was John Prentice. A year later, James Waddell arrived from New York City with his family and began peddling goods from their wagon train along Santa Ana Road. He opened a store in what is now downtown Belmont called Waddell's Store & Saloon. By 1830, several stores had been opened in downtown Belmonte by early entrepreneurs such as Waddell and others including Ayer & Haggerty which became known as "The Three Amigos". In 1832 Samuel Morse set up an experimentallegraph cable between Los Angeles and Easton Palmyra in Pennsylvania; this led to increased business for local merchants north of Central Avenue because they could no longer rely on rail transportation to get their goods to market. In 1836 Elisha Kendrell founded BELMONT dry goods store at Main Street and Redondo Avenue - one of the earliest vitrified wooden buildings west of the Mississippi River still standing today – becoming one of America's largest Retailers operating out of storefronts until its decline following World War II On Valentine's Day 1840 Charles Goodyear started marketing vulcanized rubber products at what is now Redondo Boulevard and State Route 17 near Belleview Cemetery; this sparked growing industry around here that continues today including production of natural gas used throughout Southern California Edison Company wells . Between 1850-1900 many women worked as domestic workers providing essential services like cleaning homes for rich families or working outside during times of prohibition Nebraska native Eliza Doolittle entered into American popular culture when she wrote her book "The Gilded Age" about life inside America's high society during this time period . In 1861 General Ulysses S Grant crossbred horses with Mexican mares at Vallejo experiments proving that stocky draught horses could be crossed with more slender types which led to successful breeding efforts across North America During World War I many businesses closed due to wartime rationing but some such as BELMONT continued running despite being outfitted with only 10 sheets per worker rather than current industry standards After the war various new businesses came online such as Western Publishing Company founded by William Randolph Hearst that published books including western sports magazines like People’s Champion Cowboy Magazine while also starting up movie theaters across town before closing down around 1970 Finally there has been negligible retail activity over recent years leading locals to refer all shopping questions directly to neighboring Moreno Valley where most items are available either online or through mail order . Today it remains an agricultural community notable for its wine production although there has recently been interest in development adjacent to town center including housing developments , commercial uses , etc .

The name "Belmont" is derived from an original grant from Spanish explorer Gabriel García Márquez to his friend and neighbor José Altuve in 1828.
