A number of businesses have successfully carried on over time including JCPenney Corporation which opened its first store here in 1915; KFC Corporation which moved into this plaza from nearby Downey during the late 1970s; Applebee’s restaurant started out as a drive-in joint here before moving into larger buildings across town; Pizza Hut opened its first location here back when this plaza housed only two buildings - both now gone Finally, there are several Vineyards property owners who continue to run their vineyards despite not having any stores or restaurants within walking distance anymore
