At this time, revolvers were used as legal sidearms on Ulysses S Grant's 1868 campaign trail during the American Civil War. During World War II, firearm manufacturers such as Sturm Ruger and Remington produced weapons for both Allied and Axis forces. For example, Remington Model 870 rifles were used to kill thousands of Jews who had been taken into concentration camps before their extermination at Auschwitz concentration camp during World War II; similar rifles were also used by Japanese troops during World War II to commit genocide against Asians living within Hiroshima Prefecture

The name "Bellflower" comes from the local wildflowers that grow there: members of genus Helianthus include bellflowers and other types of sunflowers; these flowers are typically red or pink but can also be yellow or white. The flowers have petals that are either stalked (like a daisy) or un-stalked ( like an hourglass). The town was founded in 1899 by John Ladd and his family as a post office called Herington. It became Bellflower in 1907 when it incorporated as a village. In 1923, it changed its name to honor General Arthur J. Butler who had served as Mayor of Fresno during World War I and then as Governor of California from 1921 to 1923. In 1957, Bellflower built the first high school in Kern County which still stands today - Centennial High School. In 1969, Centennial opened its annex which now houses Valley View Middle School and Valley View High School. In 1984, Centennial built the second high school in Kern County - Donnybrook High School which is still standing today and has been home to many great students including current Superintendent Driscoll Daniels! When Donnybrook closed down for lack of students on account of parental disapproval in 1989-1990 due toosa chardonnay growing rampant throughout central valley schools colors were mixed up with Donybrook causing much embarrassment for all involved until finally my mom said if we want our children educated here we will drink Chardonnay from Comstock Wells & Weiser until our last days! So muchFor such little gain! Today's world wouldn't be possible without technology so why not let kids use technology instead of having them sit through boring classes? There have been a few small businesses located within town limits but most of the commercial activity has taken place outside of it over the years. In 1969, a new high school opened for students living within city limits while also serving as a middle school for students who attend schools within Kern County which bordered on Fresno County east of town. That same year saw construction begin on Interstate 10 south of town which would eventually become I-10th Street running through Bellflower center with access from Valley View Avenue to I-10th Street coming just north of town line making it possible to enter or exit the community without ever leaving its confines

The Bellflower area was first settled in the early 1800s. The name comes from a location in Alta California, which was known as "Bellflower" because of the abundance of wildflowers near the foothills. The area became part of Northern California in 1851 when it was assigned to that state by the United States Congress.
