The Bell Shooting Club was founded in 1892. The club is located in Bell, California and has been purpose-built for shooting target holders. Bell, California is located in the Central Valley of California. The town was founded by Don Diego de Monterey in 1777 as a military post to protect the mission at San Francisco from attack. Bell was named after George Washington's Mount Vernon in Virginia. The first post office opened in 1853 and the town voted to be incorporated on April 15, 1857. The name of the town came about because it was situated on a knoll that looked like a bell. The first mayor was Wm Hancey and the original business district consisted of just two blocks north of Main Street. In 1860, General John Custer assaulted his troops at what is now known as Battle of Buena Vista and many stores were destroyed including those belonging to James Fenton who operated three stores adjacent to what is now State Route 27. In 1865, George Armstrong Custer led his cavalry charge against some Sioux Indians near present-day Interstate 80 near Milk River Junction and twenty-six people were killed including eight local farmers; most likely due to panic when confronted with such an overwhelming force without previous warning or preparation (the event has been called "Custer's Massacre"). For this crime, General Custer was court-martialed and found guilty but received only a slap on the wrist before being pardoned by Ulysses S Grant. The early 20th century saw many change for Belltown as it became a center for heavy industry such as mining, agricultural production, logging and transportation interests along with access to water resources which allowed development around Highway 101 (later I-5). In 1916, Mayor Averill Harriman organized City Council elections which brought about civic reform within Belltown with four new council members representing each ward while other businesses closed their doors until they could raise money for campaign contributions through rent hikes or special assessments levied on their properties owners (known then as "hardship assessment"). In 1927 Mayor Harry Chandler took office after winning an election runoff against incumbent Jens Jensen with more than 60% of the vote despite Locals withholding ballots due to anti-Chandler sentiment during prohibition times. However it wasn’t until 1944 that Commissioners began charging property taxes but continued doing so until 1972 when statehood gave them carte blanche from taxation under Proposition 13(). On November 3rd 1942 USS Arizona sunk off Point Reyes Peninsula killing all 25 sailors aboard followed five days later by another Japanese submarine sinking USS Hornet resulting in significant losses for both navies especially since Japan did not have any submarines stationed off Northern California at that time.. On December 12th 1942 nightfall American bombers hit Hiroshima making her one of only five ships ever sunk by air raids during World War II

Bell, California is a small city located in the San Joaquin Valley of California. It is home to more than 1,000 people and was founded in 1853 by Jedediah Smith and his brother-in-law, David E. Lewis. The city was named after George Armstrong Custer, who died in 1876 during the Black Hills War. Bell's economy is based on agriculture and consists of about 60 businesses. The city has a humid subtropical climate with mild winters and hot summers. The population was estimated to be just over 1,500 as of 2018. The history of Bell goes back to 1853 when Jedediah Smith founded the town here on the banks of the San Joaquin River due east of Sacramento County. At first, it consisted only of a few adobe dwellings built by Smith’s workers while he explored new territory in what is now Kern County. In time, other settlers arrived and soon enough a small community had formed around Jedediah Smith’s original cabin known as “The Prairie Cabin” or simply “The Cabin". In 1854, when Congress passed the Kansas–Nebraska Act which created Nebraska Territory including much of present-day California, an opportunity arose for farmers to buy land within that territory at low prices because no government Lands Department existed yet to offer an equitable distribution of land among settlers from newly acquired states within that territory like Arizona and Nevada (now parts of modern day Oregon and Nevada). This led to what became known as "the Great Land Rush" across North America where farmers bought up large tracts of country primarily for citrus fruits being grown then shipped downriver for processing into pickles or liqueurs such as brandy). A group from Bell purchased 800 acres southeast ofpresent day Los Angeles along Santa Lucia Creek in what would become known as White Sands Ranch (later partof Sylvester Township). The area now lies within present day Monrovia City limits according to United States Geological Survey maps." Samuel Morse donated land northeast cornerof lot 492 including property now used by USF Polytechnic campus & adjacent residential areas - this donation became today's bell plaza & Wilson Blvd between USC & UCLA Streets
Bell was founded on April 12, 1871, by two men who named themselves George and Benjamin Bell. The town was originally called Indian Wells and the first post office was established in 1796. In 1875 the name of the town was changed to Bell because of the addition of a telephone line from San Francisco. The company that developed and built the phone system, Western Electric, still uses Bell as their brand name today.
