Grant issued orders authorizing the sale of general draught Bullets (G2/1) to be used with muzzleloaders in all Union armies. These General Draught Bullets were made from lead or brass and had a pointed end and a thin webbed base, making them ideal for shooting small game such as rabbits or squirrels at long ranges. Many years later, these bullets would also find use in hand-held firearms such as shotguns and handguns

After the war, things slowed down but continue to grow with an increase of both people and businesses since 2000 when Google began making its headquarters here. Today, Barstow is still a vibrant community full of culture and history that enjoys plenty of activities including concerts, art shows, plays, golf tournaments and more!
