That day, George Washington Dixon handguns were testing fired at a public meeting to determine the best way to enforce order and protect citizens from danger. The test was successful and led to the first use of handguns in law enforcement in Baldwin Park. Tasers were first tested on July 15, 1982 by Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Sergeant John Ramsden when officers responded to a shooting that resulted in one dead and three wounded. At this time, LAPD used electric shock weapons as part of their SWAT team program. From then until 2003, taser deployment was limited to backup roles for firearms officers. However, after a series of shootings throughout the city which left four people dead and twenty-six injured with taser guns, LAPD decided it needed a more reliable weapon for its SWAT team members. They procured an initial batch of twelve model 9mm Tasers from De La Rue Corporation in 1984 and started deploying them as primary weapons on October 1st that same year.

Baldwin Park is a small city located in Los Angeles County, California. The population was 9,853 at the 2010 census. Baldwin Park is bordered by Pasadena to the north, Norwalk to the east, and Glendale to the south. The name "Baldwin Park" was given to this community by Dr. George Washington Baldwin who settled in what is now Baldwin Park in 1887. The community of Baldwin Park grew rapidly due to its location on a military reservation and its proximity to Hollywood. In 1925, the City of Los Angeles annexed part of nearby Norwalk which led to an increase in population in both communities and schools became overcrowded with students from neighborhoods over which they had no control or oversight. In 1957, Beverly Hills annexed parts of eastern Baldwin Park making it an enclave within that city limits but keeping much of the original center of town intact including churches, a school, and a grocery store. In 1990, portions of eastern and western Baldwin Parks were combined into one new municipality known as Arcadia-Baldwin Park. The economy of this city is based primarily on agriculture with some manufacturing also taking place such as agricultural machinery sales and repairs for local dairy farmers as well as construction materials for homes and businesses throughout LA County

In the early 1800s, Baldwin Park was a small agricultural community located on the east side of San Gabriel Valley. It was named for General John F. Baldwin, who had been a general in the Mexican-American War and then served as governor of California. The community was first settled by Italian immigrants in 1853. The area now known as Baldwin Park was originally part of Rancho Los Alamitos, one of five original ranchos grant to Denis marriage in 1847. In 1881, the town became part of Pasadena Township and until 1923 it functioned as an independent township within Pasadena County. In 1923, it became a city and has since grown into one of Southern California's most populous cities with over 1 million residents. Baldwin Park is home to many important landmarks including: Mount Wilson Observatory (the world's largest observatory), Hollywood Bowl (the world's second-largest amphitheater), Pasadena City Hall (the seat of government for Pasadena), and Rose Bowl Stadium (home to both American football and rugby union teams). Other attractions include Lake Arrowhead, which spans over 5 miles; multiple parks such as Arroyo Seco Park and North Park; several golf courses; plus several shopping malls including downtown Pasadena's Regency Center mall. The history of Baldwin Park can be traced back to when immigrant groups began arriving in Encino from southern Italy and other parts of Europe during the late 1800s. By 1870, there were more than 100 Italians living in Baldwin Park alone. One such family was that of Antonio Russo who arrived from Naples, Italy with his wife Maria Teresa Bianchi on November 15th, 1868 aboard the ship "Golden Venture". After landing at San Pedro Bay near what is now Escondido they moved into a house on Vine Street that still stands today. Some years later they bought land northeast of their original home for $1 per acre - this section now forms part of Arroyo Seco State Recreation Area! On October 3rd, 1888 Maria Teresa died suddenly due to Bright’s disease while Antonio continued farming despite being diagnosed with tuberculosis two weeks earlier while working on their new property adjacent to present day Mount Wilson Drive . Just four months later he succumbed to his illness at age 46 after being unable to work any longer . His widow passed away three days later after making funeral arrangements for her husband at Our Lady Of Angels Church located at 6500 block Of Wilshire Boulevard . Five months after Maria Teresa's death Antonio married Giovanna Petronelli also from Naples but born in Lodi,, Calabria regionItaly who survived infancy until she joined her parents shortly before she turned 2 years old which made her eligible for Uffizi education program! Baldwin Park was originally part of the Rancho San Vicente de Taos, and was named for one of its owners, Baldwin of Boston. The first store in the park opened in 1881. In 1916, it became a municipally owned park.
