This growth lead to problems for downtown workers who were not given access to affordable housing or job opportunities within minutes of their work locations- leading to an exodus of young professionals from the city during the early 21st century. However, recent redevelopment has made it easier for pedestrians and cyclists to get around downtown without having to walk or bike up hills or down valleys; making it more appealing for locals looking for a vibrant center with easy access to shopping options that focus on healthy foods instead of processed products
