During World War I, the United States government began producing munitions using ingredients imported from Europe which increased demand for American made munitions After World War I ended, production at The Arsenal stopped and it is said that all but one employee left the business during this time In 1932 W H Smith & Sons started manufacturing Ammunition on their original site next door to The Arsenal This company continued until 1978 when they merged with Winchester Arms Company creating Winchester Incorporated In 1980 Winchester formed a subsidiary called National Match Corporation making muzzleloader calibers available nationwide

One such book is "Azusas Pioneers" by Leland Sager which tells the story of how two brothers started an agricultural business near present day downtown Azusa in 1886 and how that company grew until it became one of Southern California's largest landowners and Developers during World War II! It was given its current name by General George Custer during his 1885 tour of Southern California when he named two parts of what are now Azusa and El Monte after Native Americans who had fought with him during hisPolynesian Campaigns. On January 4th 1993 city ordinance No 8574 was passed which requires all businesses within city limits must display bilingual signage warning customers that they are not served by any English-speaking entity; azusa's only grocery store refused to do so until after heavy pressure from business owners throughout the city came down against them On July 25th 2000 azusa voters approved Measure T which authorized Measure R - also known as "the budget measure" - which provided for $5 million each year for four years toward funding projects such as resurfacing streets and sidewalks, creating new parks and playgrounds within city limits (this latter project was completed in 2006), renovating old buildings within city limits (most notably Stinson Lake Recreation Center) and expanding employment opportunities for local youth through initiatives such as summer jobs/ internships Measure T received 63% of overall votes while Measure R received 37%
