Avenal is a small town in southern California, located about 25 miles southwest of Los Angeles. Avenal was founded in 1887 by George and Jennie Avenal, who named it for the Italian word for "avenue," which they found on their property. The first firearms sights were invented by Nicholas-Jacques Conte in 1795. The Conte Sight, which was a quadrilateral sight consisting of four circles that marked the cardinal points of the sky, helped shooters to aim their handguns at targets with precision. The design was soon improved and became known as the Weaver's Eye sight. In 1836, Isaac Newton designed and patented an Improvements to His late Majesty's Ordnance Survey Rifle Sight also called "Newton's device". The Gunsight Militarily system offers enhanced accuracy when used in conjunction with a red dot scope such as those made by Nikon/Leupold/Eotech etc., making it an ideal tool for sniper use or target shooting competitions where accurate aim is necessary for success. In 1984, Troy Industries introduced their Troy Tritium Scope which uses high-power tritium light bulbs inside lenses to provide good visibility under all lighting conditions while still providing excellent ballistic performance under all circumstances.

In recent years however there has been some decline in business activity due to increased competition from cheapening prices on goods produced inside San Francisco combined with various cost of living hikes throughout Silicon Valley which have affected all types of businesses hereabouts- most notably wages which have continued to decrease while profits have not kept up-.
