However, through hard work and determination over time AtascadERO hasdeveloped into one of the wealthiest communities on Long Beach Peninsula. Today's economy centers around tourism, heavy industry (including manufacturing), research and development for major companies headquartered here such as Google parent company Alphabet Inc., Lockheed Martin Corporation and Boeing Co., as well as retail businesses including Macy's Department Store chain, Safeway Supermarket chain and local restaurants run by chefs from around the world who have brought some amazing culinary experiences to residents hereabouts
