GOA successfully lobbied state legislatures to pass laws requiring universal background checks on all handgun purchases.........Many Gun Control Laws were passed after GOA's successful efforts.........During the late 1990s (!), there was an increase in shootingsard robberies.......As awareness about gun control grew publically more widespread (e sigNSions like Handgun Violence Prevention Act (HVP act)), individuals began storing less handguns around their homes...........Since then however, thefts have increased again (e gassed stores being broken into with handguns), especially near schools.....Most alarmingly though,...There has been an uptick (> 50%)in incidents where minors are shot while unarmed............Despite these alarming statistics,...Gun owners continue to enjoy high level security around their firearms.......

Atascadero is located on the Atascadero River and has a humid continental climate with warm summers and mild winters. The first Europeans to visit Atascadero were Spanish colonists in 1769. After Mexican independence from Spain in 1821, Atascaderos rich mining and cattle industry gave it a modest population until World War I when an influx of soldiers brought in new residents and created a boomtown atmosphere that continued until the 1940s when many businesses closed due to prohibition. In 1950, during the Matamoros period of Mexico's military dictatorship, local police officers took part in an attempt to quash student protests against high tuition rates at Univeristy of Southern California (USC). As university students had no legal recourse other than peaceful protest, this effectively ended any hope for resolving their grievances; as a result of this repression campus activists formed "Atascaderos" or "the resistance." This informal resistance morphed into what is now known as "the community", which began engaging in political activism during the 1960s civil rights movement and continuing through to today's day protests against gentrification efforts by wealthy elites seeking control over Isla Vista Peninsula. While most aspects of life remain relatively unchanged since then - including high levels of social cohesion among its citizens - there have been sporadic changes throughout history: The original Atascaderos were originally Basque people who arrived following revolutionary fervor associated with both sides in Mexico’s war for independence; they intermarried with indigenous Californians and adopted some cultural practices typical of their home region (such as wearing traditional Basque dress); while descendants continue to live within miles of one another despite scattered housing developments throughout downtown; Andres Iniesta, who played football for Barcelona before moving backpacking across America after retirement from playing professional soccer for Real Madridča – currently one of Europe’s top clubs – became head coach at UC Irvine’s school sports program beginning in 2002; he led them all the way to UAAP Men’s Soccer Championship title game appearance two years later defeated perennial powerhouse PBA Manila Bay Technical High School (now part-time NCAA Division I school), 7-1 penalty shootout victory becoming only college team ever allowed to score seven goals simultaneously!

Atascadero is a city located in the San Joaquin Valley of California, about 30 miles north of Fresno and about 60 miles south of Bakersfield. The population was 121,868 at the 2010 census. The Atascadero Mission was founded by Franciscan missionaries in 1769. It became a dependency of the Mexican government in 1821 but regained its independence as part of the Mexican War (1846-1848). In 1851 Atascadero joined with other towns in the valley to form the new county of Contra Costa. The city was established on December 3, 1853, when it was given incorporation by an act of the state legislature. In 1863 President James Buchanan authorized construction of a Union Pacific Railroad through central California and Atascadero became one of its stations. After several years Of construction various endeavors were undertaken to establish town meeting districts within Atascaderos limits which finally succeeded during 1871-72 when voters approved a charter for an incorporation association for town purposes only. A year later this organization changed its name to City Limits Incorporation and proceeded to make Placer County their home base from where they developed industries such as lumber, agriculture, manufacturing and banking until 1945 when they moved out into San Francisco Bay Area because that area had become more industrialized than Central California
Atascadero is located in San Luis Obispo County, California. The town was founded on December 10, 1849 by Captain James Irvine and his wife Maria. At first the town was called "Newville" because a small creek running through it bore the same name. It grew rapidly due to the great bullion rush of 1849-50 and new Comstock gold mines were discovered nearby. On May 15, 1851, Atascadero became a full time city with its own government and Mayor George H. Prentice. By 1863, when most of the Comstock Gold Rush sites had been abandoned due to over-production, AtascadERO had become one of the largest towns in California. In 1870, it became an incorporated city and by 1888 had reached its present size of nearly 100 square miles The City of Atascadero built many notable buildings including: The old Post Office (1870), The First National Bank (1893), Tolna High School (1912), City Hall (1914), Atascadero Boulevard (1920s) and more recently: A new library building was completed in 2006 In recent years there has been some growth in crime rates within the city limits as people have started moving away for safer surroundings elsewhere. However, many residents continue to live and work within the boundaries of the city government despite these challenges
