It then passed through several more families before being acquired by developer Larry Ellison who plans to turn it into an "urban village" with single-family homes, shops and services for residents across multiple neighborhoods including one named after him - Ellison Village (named after him because he donated land). In early 2006, Ellison announced that he had secured $25 million from venture capitalists to help get artesianVillage off the ground - making it one of the largest ever private investment projects in California history
