A total of 54 handguns were manufactured at 5th Street Armory during its operations between 1893 - 1912 inclusive; however only 21 were actually sold to law Enforcement agencies within Artesia jurisdiction during that time frame!

It is located on the Kern River between Bakersfield and Tulare counties. artesia is known for its picturesque beauty and wine production. In 1907, there were only 10 people living in Artesia when it incorporated as a city under the name of Avenida de la Virgen de Los Angeles (present-day US 101). The population density was 906 people per square mile (340/km²). There were 1,244 housing units at an average density of 367 per square mile (175/km²). The Adobe Walls are a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Artesia and they can be seen from miles away. They are an old adobe wall that has been restored and now serves as a museum as well as an observation point for visitors to see the surrounding area. The Adobe Walls were built by Manuel Arguelles in 1847-1848 to resist Surveyor General John Cranch's survey of the lands between Nogales and Los Angeles. The first post office in Artesia was established on October 14, 1849, under the name of Lone Pine (later renamed Artesia). The first physician in town was Dr. John Sutter who arrived in 1850 with his patient Drs., William Hahn and Augustus Earle Jr.. He set up shop next door to George Waring & Co.'s store which later became known as Waring & Company Hall Museum today housed within what used to be Waring & Company Store #2 on Main Street across from Pueblo de Naranjo Park off SR 150E
