This styleofstockwasusedonriflesuntilabout1895.(See Appendix A for more information) Since rifle stocks have been around for so long, there has been much variety and innovation when it comes to them. Some common changes include moving up arms conversion kits so that different guns can be converted to use sniper rifles or carbines with exclusive bolt systems; adding bipods; changing pistol grips so they can accommodate larger hands; making infantry carriers available as mounts for artillery pieces such as cannons; and even designing individual stocks specifically for each gun model.(See Appendix B)
