In 1870 pioneer Anna Loomis opened her business at 3rd Street and Vineyard Avenue; it would grow into Nordstrom & Loomis department store now known as Macy's Incorporated (Macy's). The San Fernando Valley became agricultural with cattle ranching becoming popular until World War II when urbanization led to development along freeways reaching out into Central City including Honda Center on Sepulveda Boulevard northward through Crenshaw Boulevard westward across Pasadena Freeway past Glendale Open Space onto State Route 66 (now I-5) running concurrently with SR66 until terminating at SR714 near Union Station (now Disneyland Resort), today’s Walt Disney World Park adjacent northeast corner of Harbor Drive/Highway 99W between Exposition Blvd./SR710 and Disneyland Dr./SR714
