On February 14, 1893 after years of wrangling between various land Ownership organizations (the Soquel Valley Landowners Association, November 12th DistrictLandowners Association), voters passed a resolution annexing Donaldson Canyon Colony located east of San Pedro to Anaheim with a population of only 33 residents because there were no other villages near enough to support another community – within minutes! The concept behind annexation at this time was not so much about creating more homes for citizens as it was about taking advantage of an open territory which did not yet have any towns or settlements nearby that could be annexed into due to lack of development or interest from settlers. This settlement quickly grew into one of Southern California’s largest citrus fruits production areas before becoming known as simply “Anaheim” in 1907 when then Mayor James Maughan announced plans to change its name to celebrate America’s centennial year! It wasn’t until 1931 when Katella Avenue became home to Disneyland after Walt Disney bought parts of what is now called Toontown USA from Amway Corporation! Today Disneyland remains one of Anaheim’s most popular tourist attractions while also hosting events like Formula One races at Autzen Stadium throughout the year!
