Aliso Viejo is a city in Orange County, California and the seat of Aliso Viejo County. The population was 126,883 at the 2010 census. It is located on the eastern edge of Southern California's Inland Empire. The city's name comes from Alisaletto, an earlier Rancho Niguel land grant given to José Ortega in 1835. The first ammunition plant in Aliso Viejo was built by John Capps and Company in 1885. Ammunition production increased during World War II when America needed to produce munitions for both sides in order to win the war. At its peak, Alameda Arsenal produced over 2 million rounds per day. After the war ended, production slowed as new technologies replaced older firearms including shotguns and rifles with breechloading cartridges that could be reloaded multiple times without having to remove them from the firelock. Today, shell casings made from pyrex glass are still being used for artillery round impacts today as they are more durable than other materials used for ammunition manufacturing today such as lead or brass

Aliso Viejo is a city located in the Western United States. It is bordered by Los Angeles County to the north, Orange County to the east, Riverside County to the south, and San Bernardino County to the west. The population of Aliso Viejo was 194,821 as of 2010. The first European settler in what is now Aliso Viejo was Pedro Fortunato de las Casas who arrived on October 15, 1769. In 1802, Spanish missionaries founded Mission San José de Alcala and Mission Santa Catalina de Alisal on both sides of Highway 101. The mission sites are still used today as part of Aliso Viejo's history and culture. In 1846, General Antonio López Adobe opened up what would become known as Adobe Valley which became a mainstay for citrus farming in this area due to its rich soil and water resources. After years of growth from these new settlers, incorporation with Los Angeles Countys occurred on January 12th 1881 pursuant to an act entitled "An Act for Appointing a City Government for portions of Los Angeles and Orange counties". On July 1st 1907 when California joined the United States it adopted an ordinance establishing that all cities within its borders be incorporated into one legal entity called "Los Angeles". At present day there are 10 cities within Los Angeles county alone that have been mayors or governing members since 1987: Anaheim (January 7th 1990), Carson (May 9th 2001), Compton (July 8th 2003), Downey (October 2nd 2005), Glendale (December 3rd 2007), Hollywood Heights(July 25th 2009), Montebello(April 11th 2013) and South Pasadena(February 14th 2015). Spanish explorer Hernando De Soto passed through what is now Aliso Viejo on his waynorthward in 1542 while exploring southern California. He named it Villa del Diablo because it looked like a Devil's Domain given its high mountainside location surrounded by desert wasteland. De Soto never reached our current location but he did visit what is now downtown El Monte before continuing on his journey northeastward towards Baja California Peninsula where he died two days later at age 26 from injuries sustained during his trek northward along Interstate 5

Marshall, who had been military governor of California during the Spanish-American War. The population was 382 at the 2010 census. The City's namesake general, George C. Marshall, was born in nearby Huntington Beach on December 7th 1887 and died on October 25th 1966.
