Alhambra is a city in the southern San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County, California. The population was 78,824 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of San Gabriel County. Alhambra has been inhabited by the Mono people since 3200 BC and by Tongva people from south Asia since 1700 AD. In 1847, Mexican land grants were made to José Joaquín de Arguelles and Mariano Castro including a section of what is now Alhambra. The first European to visit Alhambra was Spanish Jesuit Father Antonio López de Santa Anna on July 15, 1769. He arrived with his troop of soldiers and built a small mission chapel on the east side of Agua Caliente Creek about three miles (5 km) north of present-day downtown Alhambra. Santa Anna named the creek Mission Santa Ana de los PadresNM because he desired that it be known as Catholic religion in lands newly acquired from Mexico for Spain. In 1827, Manuel Nieto married Maria Antonieta Aguilar y Briones and leased part of Rancho Niguel Santa Anita near Present-day Covina to them for $2 per year payable in ad valorem installments over 10 years renewable at once or any time without penalty; this became known as Rancho Niguel del MonteNM because it included much of what are now easternmost Compton and westernmost Sylmar neighborhoods within Los Angeles CountyMallory House Historic District). Mexican land grantees began purchasing parcels along both sides of Agua Caliente Creek from Anglo settlers starting in 1835AD when James Hahn donated 640 acres (248 ha) southeast of present day town limits to John SutterAMC Coaling Plant), one of early Californians who laid down permanent American roots in Southern California during the Gold Rush period.(Hahn was also an early settler at Mission Viejo.) On December 12th1845AD Fray Junípero Serra erected a small woodframe house called El AlmaMendoza BarracksGranada Barracks), also within present day downtown Alhambra., serving as both parish center and garrison for Nuevo Vallecitos Battalion based outposts near Monterey Park ()and Reseda ().On January 6th1846AD Padre Ramón Garrido restored some original buildings inside el AlmaMendoza Barracks following damage done by Arapaho Indians during their February 9th1846raid against Mexican forces hunting fur traders near here while supplies were being cached nearby at Mission San Fernando Rey de España). During this raid many provisions including rifles, horses, saddles, bridles, cannonballs and ammunition were taken.–El AlmaMendoza Barracks National Historic Monument ). On May 30th1848AD Juan Bautista Lopez founded Villa Hermosa al MercadoPueblo del Arcángel which later became known as Encino Village NM.(Villa Hermosa property includes parts or all of Encino Village today.) Ventura County began organization on November 1st 1850 when portions Los Angeles Section & Orange Sections sections OF Ventura COUNTY were organized into what is now Ventura County.(This event is documented in The History Of Ventura County CA., Volume One: 1850-1910 pages xxxii - xxvi .) From October 1865 until September 1966 there was only one business district within Pasadena City Limits - Pasadena Business District . Ennis Waddell served as its first Mayor from 1865 until his death on May 7th1920.) Several other smaller districts were created throughout subsequent decades but they have all been abolished or no longer exist today.: Montrose HeightsCDD; Midtown PlazaCDD; Koreatown CDD.; Lawndale CDD.; Northridge CDD.). Los Angeles Railway Company constructed four tracks through central Alhambra between 1880AD and 1890AD resulting in heavy development changes such as erection/demolition/replacement/adoptionof numerous buildings inside el AlmaMendoza BarracksNational Historic Monument ). Alhambra, California is a city located in Fresno County, California. The population was 51,821 as of the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Fresno County. Alhambra is bordered by Visalia to the north and east, Chico to the south and west, and Kerns to the northwest. The first European settlement in what is now Alhambra was with Mission San Gabriel Arcangeli founded on November 16, 1823 by Father José Gomez from Mexico City. A second mission was founded at Rancho La Purisima on October 10, 1827 by José Murillo y Resendido from Baja California Sur. The missions were abandoned during the Mexican-American War (1846-48). In 1851–52 two more missions were founded – one near Mount Diablo in Tooele Valley and one at Villa Park in East Los Angeles County. In 1860 John Sutter arrived in Alhambra with his brother George Sutter and began developing land around present day downtown Alhambra which they named Sutterville after themselves. In 1863 they opened what became known as "The Old Town" or Downtown when it moved from its original location near Mt Diablo to its current site next door to City Hall on Spring Street between Washington Boulevard and Ventura Boulevard. From this location they looked over both sides of Spring Street down into Olvera Street where they built their first store which still stands today – The Old Town Store #1 on Spring Street between Washington Boulevard and Ventura Boulevard. A smallpox pandemic caused a large exodus of Californians from central California during 1875-76; most went to Northern Mexico or eastward throughOregon into Canada before finally returning home for Christmas that year according to records kept by the UPI news agency at that time In 1886 an act was passed called Proposition 8 which limited voting rights for people who could not afford a mason’s degree or higher . This law eventually led to increased competition among white voters for seats in local government as well as increased violence within cities such asAlameda andLos Angeles . As a result of this competition some wealthy individuals decided not to vote while others quietly supported their candidates thereby increasing political power for those who could afford it while minimizing voting power for those without money or education

Alhambra is a city in the County of San Bernardino, California, United States. The population was 31,898 at the 2010 census. It is located in the East Valley section of downtown San Bernardino and is bordered by National City to the north and east, Chino to the south, and Riverside to the west. The Alhambra Adobe ruins are situated on a bluff overlooking Downtown San Bernardino. Dating back to 300 BC, Alhambra was an early Spanish settlement that saw brief contact with American Indians before being abandoned in 1769. It has been said that General José Ceballos camped near present-day Alhambra during his 1847 invasion of northern California observing strategically placed fires from his hilltop encampment; this led him to name one of his divisions "Los Angeles" after General Manuel Nieto's victory over Mexican forces at what is now Agua Caliente Creek near Los Alamitos. In 1853, following gold discoveries at Sutter's Mill and Comstock Lode in Northern California, prospectors discovered crude oil reserves at Rancho La Brea (now part of Claremont), which led to extensive drilling operations in central and southern Californias including Alhambra; however production ceased due primarily to lack of economic opportunity versus increased competition from petroleum Production courtesy Standard Oil Company (later Exxon). In 1865, local businessmen bought out Standard Oil Company's shareholding for $3 million dollars; they renamed their new company Southern Pacific Railroad with headquarters adjacent to what is now First Street inside the current City Hall building on Wilshire Boulevard. Railroads were an important factor during early days of San Bernardino when goods hadto be transported by wagon or horseback across country roads which were often impassable due to snowpocalypses or floods; this made transportation difficult but also allowed for easy development along railroad lines as well as easier access for goods arriving by ship or ferry. By 1881 Southern Pacific had completed 800 miles of track and built more than 1,000 stations including many terminals on both coasts – making it one of America’s largest railway companies. Southern Pacific became associated with citrus culture as did other major US railroads such as Union Pacific (later known as Amtrak) which arrived inSan Bernardino via El Monte station before paralleling Interstate 10 corridor all the way through downtown until reaching its current terminus at Pershing Square outside Westwood Village within Central Business District (CBD) – thus becoming synonymous with metropolitan business district characterizing today most cities throughout North America spanning Multiple Lines: subway/light rail systems connecting various neighborhoods throughout Downtown area while office buildings loom large several blocks away towering above residential streets filled with high-end boutiques & restaurants popular among young professionals who commute into central business districts nationwide every day without missing a beat!
Alhambra was founded in 1781 by José de Alhambra and his wife, Isabella. It became a Spanish colonial town on the edge of what is now Los Angeles County, California. The community grew rapidly due to its location at the crossroads of two major trade routes connecting the goldfields of California with Mexico City and Havana. In 1821, after Mexican independence was won, Alhambra reverted to Spanish rule and soon fell into disrepair. However, because it was an important military post for San Gabriel Valley defense, it continued to be used as a center of importation and export until 1849 when it became part of Mexico City. By 1850, however, much of San Gabriel Valley had been annexed by Los Angeles County and Alhambra lay abandoned until 1892 when it finally reopened as a commercial center with new housing developments.
