In response to this growth much renovation occurred throughout Downtown including new building construction primarily concentrating around Third Street NW between Jackson Boulevard NE and Main Street SW with several large buildings being constructed such as Midtown USA located across Jackson Boulevard on property leased from Walmart predecessor Sam’s Club Stores Incorporated That same year also saw completion of what would eventually become monster intersection Third & Jackson Streets NW becoming known colloquially as "Third/Jackson Junction". With development along Third starting soon after Walmart's arrival downtown merchants decided they needed more room combined with availability along Jackson Boulevard east side which coincided with Census2010 data indicating an increase alone for home sales within 1 mile radius making it easier for potential customers to find what they were looking for without having to wander through acres or neighborhoods just outside the city limits

West Memphis, Arkansas is a small town located in Pulaski County, Arkansas. The population was 1,898 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Little Rock–Fayetteville-Springdale Metropolitan Statistical Area. West Memphis is home to West Memphis High School and the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department. West Memphis began as a small farming community in 1881. By 1910, it had a post office and two churches. In 1921, the area became part of Pulaski County and the first school was built in that year. In 1923, the county seat was moved from Magnolia to West Memphis. That year also saw construction of what would become known as "The White City", which housed most of West Memphis' businesses and government buildings until it burned down in 1984. In 1957, The White City was replaced by another business district called "The Village". This district contained many small businesses that were gradually phased out over time due to competition from larger stores or because they were not permitted by local zoning ordinances. However, The Village still remains an important part of West Memphis history today and its remnants can be seen throughout the town streetscape
