Their products were well-known throughout the United States until around 1915 when Winchester Repeating Arms Corporation came into existence which changed everything! Winchester Repeating Arms Corporation manufactured Rifle Scopic products until 1939 when they merged with Leupold & Bacon ManufacturingCompany which continued to produce them until 1970! It is interesting to note that while all these companies made their own models, they all shared some common design features which included screws on both ends servicing your scope; a windage/ elevation turret; an adjustable objective lens; an armored tube surrounding your eye; a rubber recoil pad; a carrying handle/ strap system; and most importantly –a waterproof case! New settlers arrived after white men abandoned Texarkana in search of new land to explore during the Red River War (1865-1868). A post office was established in 1881, and retail sales began in 1886. In 1916, the Arkansas Valley Railroad built its line from Texarkana to Elko Junction; this made it possible for settlers near Texarkana to sell goods directly to consumers outside of Little Rock. In 1922, Texas Western Railway completed an extension from Conyers to Texarkana; this increased business along the railroad's main route between Little Rock and Arkadelphia. During World War II (1939-1945),Texarkana became an important military base because it housed several hundred thousand American troops who were stationed in central Arkansas during the war effort. The town also played a significant role in developing oil production withinArkansas after 1945 due to its location at one of four key oilfields located in that state during that time: Atchison Field (now Koch Industries' Wichita operation), Five Forks Field (now Schlumberger exploration site number 5), North Dakota State Oil Field #2 (now Energy Transfer Partners' Bakken formation field), and Enterprise Zone #3 operated by ExxonMobil at Fort Smith before its acquisition by BP plc.. In addition to its military significance, Texarkana also became home to many large businesses such as Choctaw National Bank and First National Bank of Arkadelphia before they merged into JNBanks Incorporated late 2007 under then CEO Tom Donahoe.. Texarkana, Arkansas is a city in Pulaski County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 5,871 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Pulaski County. The first settlers in what is now Texarkana were two families who founded a farm on the present day campus of Sam Houston State University in 1887. They named their farm Texarkana after Texas's capital city of Austin. The original house still stands and can be seen from Interstate 40 just south of town. In 1911, the Chisholm Trail Electric Railway (TCER) was built through Texarkana and began service to Dallas/Fort Worth Airport. TCER was abandoned by 1951 when new roads were built through town and the airport became an independent suburb of Dallas. Texarkana was established as a village in 1903 when it took over ownership of the post office from nearby Springdale. In 1907, it became an incorporated city with a population of 10 people before declining to 5,871 in 2000 due to growth within its own borders rather than annexation by other municipalities or incorporation into larger cities or counties outside its jurisdiction.
