Today, theTarget Tournament Center in Texarkana is one of the largest target shows in the country and Gun Targets history can be found throughout the city. The first gun target show was held in Texarkana on July 8th, 1911. At that time, there were only 10 target shooters in town and each shooter had to bring their own targets. The show was organized by Lieutenant Colonel H.W. Stone of the Third Texas Infantry Regiment who also operates The Shooting Gallery located at 322 S Main Street today which still offerstarget exhibitions and classes every weeknight from 7pm-10pm
