The history of ammunition in Texarkana, Arkansas begins with the early days of firearms. Firearms were used by settlers to protect themselves and their families from Indians and other attackers. As time passed, gun users became more and more specialized, and so there was a need for new types of ammunition. Ammunition companies began to form in the late 1800s in response to this demand. The first commercial Ammunition company in Texarkana was Winchester Arms Co., Incorporated on December 18, 1897. It was established as a manufacturer of rifle rounds, shotgun rounds, pistol cartridges (including 9mm Parabellum), shell cases and primer cups. In 1905 Springfield Armory Company opened its doors making it home to the world’s first ballistics testing lab for handguns.
Texarkana is a city in Pulaski County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 7,711 at the 2010 census. Texarkana is the county seat of Pulaski County. It is part of the Little Rock–North Little Rock–Arlington City, AR Micropolitan Statistical Area. The metropolitan area had a total population of 15,914 as of July 1, 2017. Texarkana was founded in 1881 by J.P. Garland and others as a Trading Post on the Santa Fe Trail between Fort Smith and Wichita Falls, Texas. A post office called Texarkana was established in 1883, and remained in operation until 1907. In 1901 it incorporated as a city under the name Arkadelphia/Texarkana/Garlandville/NewArkansas City (sometimes spelled Arkadelphia). The original town hall building still stands today and is used as an event center by local businesses and government officials. The discovery of oil in Texas led to intense competition for settlers near the Santa Fe Trail across Oklahoma into Arkansas Territory during the 1890s; Texarkana emerged as one of the most important trading posts on both sides of that boundary line because it acted as an intermediary for goods en route to Tulsa, Oklahoma and points beyond. Oil production began operations at nearby Cushing Refinery in 1901 and briefly boosted growth before declining prices eliminated most reliance on crude oil for transportation purposes in 1914; however, some manufactures such as automobiles continued to be produced here until after World War II when petroleum became more affordable than ever thanks to advances within engineering and manufacturing technologies.. In 1957 TexarkANA annexed fifteen blocks from Fayetteville southward forming what would become known collectively as “The Strip” which continues to be one of America’s busiest crossroads with various retail stripsites along I-30 running concurrently north-south including always lively music venues like White Rabbit Lounge & Grill (formerly Plus Ultra), Red Top Saloon & Barbecue restaurant (now Danceteria) Jerry’s Place BBQ restaurant (now Riverboat Pub), Hard Rock Cafe & Casino buffet (now Genting Casino), etc., etc., making this one place you never have too much trouble finding something to do whether you are driving or taking public transportation... finally attracting attention away from Interstate 30 itself which has been slowly but surely becoming increasingly clogged with all these places built on top of it with no end in sight!

Texarkana, Arkansas is a small town in Pulaski County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 1,564 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Little Rock-Fayetteville-Springdale Metropolitan Statistical Area. The original settlers in this area were the Choctaws and Creeks who arrived in what is now Texarkana in 1836. The first post office was established here on December 17, 1839. In 1840, a store and mill were built by John Witherspoon near today's Texarkana Boulevard and Walnut Street. A cotton gin followed soon after on Walnut Street. In 1852, a school was organized here under the auspices of the Methodist Episcopal Church with Simeon Dickinson as its first superintendent. In 1865, an elevator was installed to carry goods up Main Street from Broadway Market to the present day Texarkana Hotel which stood until 1912 when it burned down. The town of Texarkana began to grow rapidly due to development of oil resources around Hereford Field (now Arkadelphia) in 1901 and production started up at three local wells: Well No. 1 on October 15th and 16th of that year; Well No 2 on November 3rd; and Well No 3 on January 10th 1902 which produced gas for lighting purposes until 1934 when it finally stopped production because of environmental concerns about fracking operations nearby! An old courthouse replaced the building destroyed by fire in 1912 which had been used as a jail before that time also! In 1932 there was construction of Interstate 30 through town; one mile east of downtown Texarkana along Walnut Street became I-30/Arkansas Highway 69 junction point! This helped increase trade within our community as well as attracting new businesses over time! Today much like many other small towns throughout AmericaTexarkana continues to thrive thanks to its rich history including some excellent tourist attractions such as The Texas Hill Country Museum & Art Gallery located next door to historic First Baptist Church where demonstrations are currently taking place related toRoute 66 history demonstrations being staged nightly inside
In 1881, the first post office in Texarkana was established. The townspeople were so pleased with the service that they voted to name their new community Texarkana. The name stuck and the town has been growing ever since. Today, Texarkana is a thriving city with a population of over 50,000 residents.
