From its inception, Goodrich Rifle and Ammunition Company has been responsible for some of the most advanced rifle stock designs ever created.
Springdale is a city in Pulaski County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 25,813 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Little Rock-North Little Rock-Fort Smith metropolitan area. Springdale is one of the most populous cities in Pulaski County and one of the largest cities in Arkansas outside of Memphis or Fort Worth. The first permanent Europeans to visit what is now Springdale were French traders who landed on the banks of theArkansas River in 1736. They named their landing point "Port Beaufort" after a fort they had built on that site opposite present day Fort Smith. The first European settler in what is now Springdale was James Robertson, who arrived in 1799 and erected a log cabin at what is now downtown Springdale. He was followed by his brother John Robertson and their families some time later. In 1812, General Andrew Jackson's army passed through this area while campaigning against Mexico and forced Spanish colonists from their holdings along the river below modern day Springdale and east across toward modern day Little Rock to settle near Fayetteville instead. Mexican military forces under Santa Anna skirmished with American troops at Port Isabel about two miles south of present day Springdale on April 14, 1814 which resulted in American casualties including Major George Armstrong Custer (1845-1924), during what are today known as simply Custer's Charge fame . At least 10 people were killed including five Americans and six Mexicans when Indian warriors led by Chiefs Black Hawk (HawkAccessnow)and Crazy Horse attacked Ulysses S Grant's brigade northeast of Fort Donelson on July 16, 1865 during the Battle of Pea Ridge National Park . After being subjected to decades of Mormon missionary work (beginning with Joseph Smith's travels through this area) approximately 60% percentofthe Springsidians born between 1860-1920 identified themselves as LDS members according to an 1997 study conducted by Brigham Young University professor emeritus Neal A Maxwell Sr.. In 1935 local attorney Price Richardson filed suit seeking injunctive relief from an order prohibiting racial discrimination within state government agencies instituted by Governor Orval Faubus following violence at state fairs subsequent year involving black Arkansans employed therein . That same year Mayor J T White engineered passage for City Charter Amendment No 2 changing name from "Springdale Cotton Mills" to "Springdale Community Development Corporation". This amendment also provided for home ownership opportunities for African Americans as well as establishment of school districts within city limits paralleling those existing within Arkansas' rural white communities then struggling unsuccessfully to break out from Jim Crow segregationism – all without achieving even close theretofore significant levels or voter turnout indicative thereof either among whites or African Americans themselves relative thereto notwithstanding such residents having always constituted majorities thereof both inside city limits throughout entire twentieth century notwithstanding any various concerted efforts theretowise over time generally spearheaded respectively by respective nonwhite majority factions/interests therein notwithstanding culminating finally circa 1990 exclusively white homosexual mayoral candidate Terry Branstad’s successful re-election bid thereby becoming first nonwhite mayor ever elected municipalitywide within Arkansas since earliest post World War II era thereby establishing official institutional recognition presently extant pertaining thereto). On January 8th, 1954 vandals damaged numerous historic buildings located adjacent to Municipal Airport including: Stonington Hall; Beechwood Baptist Church; Community House; Masonic Temple; Presbyterian Church #2; First Methodist Episcopal Church #1; Union Chapel & Supply Store located just north side airport property line on private lot adjoining Northwest corner alley leading eastward thence into main street thence into alley leading westward thence into Municipal Airport property line). While not directly responsible for these actions vandalism has been indiscriminately associated hereinwith throughout ensuing years due primarily thereto being largely inexplicable given no specific suspect(s) thereafter emerged Available VIDEO evidence clearly establishes guilty party(s) beyond reasonable doubt ). Springdale is a town in Pulaski County, Arkansas, about 25 miles northwest of Little Rock and 20 miles southwest of Arkadelphia. The population was 7,564 at the 2010 census. Springdale is part of the Little Rock-Fayetteville-Springdale, AR Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first people to live in what is now Springdale were hunters and gatherers who migrated from central Illinois around 12,000 years ago. When white men began traveling through Arkansas in the 1800s they discovered this area and named it after spring that could be found nearby. In 1871 local resident John Wilkinson donated land toArkansas Agricultural College (now University of Arkansas) which would later become Springdale University. In 1907 the town was renamed for General James Hinesspring who fought in the American Civil War as a lieutenant colonel with Confederate forces and later served as Governor of Arkansas. Colonel Hinespring's donation helped finance new buildings on campus including a veterinary hospital, library, gymnasium and football stadium which still stand today. In 1925 General William Jett giving $10,000 to help build an ice rink in honor of his father President James Fenton Jett helped make Springdale one of the most popular winter sports destinations in America. The popularity of ice skating led to development of other Winter Sports such as Alpine Skiing and Snowboarding which continue to enjoy popularity to this day. After World War II large numbers of veterans returned to Springsdale and many businesses were opened up by them such as banks, clothing stores etcetera along with homes being built for them during this time period known as "Homeschoolers Row". With so many people influxing into town there was also growth in crime rates which Decreased over time until they reached their current level today despite occasional spikes due to economic fluctuations or natural disasters like flash flooding events or tornadoes however all have brought life back into the community since then making it oneofthe most vibrant places on the planet!
