Springdale is a small town located in Arkansas, United States. It was founded in 1907 and has been the home of the Springdale Arsenal Ammunition Company since 1912. The company manufactured firearms, ammunition, and other items until it went out of business in 1978. In that year, it merged with the Winchester Repeating Arms Company to form the Winchester-Winchester Repeating Arms Corporation. The company continued to produce firearms until 1997 when it became part of Browning Firearms Holdings, Inc.

Springdale is a small town in Pulaski County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 1,566 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Little Rock–North Little Rock–Arlington metropolitan area. Springdale is home to Springdale High School and the Arkansas Department of Education's Northwest Arkansas Regional Library System. The first settlers in this area were the Hennads who arrived around 1819. They were farmers and ranchers and built a log cabin on a hill near what is now known as lunch pail Road. A post office was established in 1821, and by 1827 they had moved to their present location on Main Street. The Hennad family eventually became involved in politics and served on several local committees before dying out in the late 1800s. In 1902, Henry Mabry opened the first store in Springdale when he set up shop along Main Street between Harper Avenue and First Avenue. In 1916, J W Gentry established one of Springdalers most famous businesses: Gentry's Dairy which remains open today as a grocery store with an emphasis on American cheese products including gouda, cheddar cheese, blue cheese, etc.. From 1919 until his death in 1984, J W Gentry was also Mayor of Springdale Population growth during World War II led to increased development around Main Street; currently it houses many businesses that have been along or near its route for years (e.g., Denny’s restaurant). A few notable properties located within walking distance of Main Street include Barnes & Noble bookstore (opened 1922), Masonic Temple (built 1939), Best Western Plus hotel (opened 1987) – all now closed but still standing as physical reminders of early community activity Noteworthy residents over time have included Judge Roy Bean III (served 1971-1983), Drs Norbert Wiener and Emilio Zapata(served 1965-1975)), Major General James Earl Ray (served 1973-1981) – each having lived somewhat locally while holding other higher government positions While much has changed since 1945 - including technology - some aspects remain relatively unchanged such as springtime wildflowers displayed outside banks across town during major Holidays like Easter or Christmas

He and his family were the first white people to live in the area now known as Springdale. The community began as a small agricultural town with just a few homes and businesses. However, over time it grew into a municipality with a full-time government and several thousand residents. Today, Springdale is an important commercial center for much of Pulaski County with its many stores and restaurants including Hooters (now Chick-fil-A), Applebees, Subway and Taco Bell. In addition to its retailitals there are also several schools located within walking distance of most residents which include two high schools (Springdale High School & North Little Rock High School), one middle school (Arkansas Valley Middle School) and one elementary school (Southside Elementary). One of the biggest attractions of Springdale are its iconic shopping malls which offer everything from department stores like Sears to more specialized retailers like IKEA. Additionally, there are dozens of parks located throughout the town which provide plenty of opportunities for kids to explore nature or play football or basketball on some very pretty playing fields!
