Sherwood, Arkansas is a small town in Pulaski County, Arkansas. The population was 1,754 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Little Rock–North Little Rock-Independence, AR Metropolitan Statistical Area. The Sherwood Manufacturing Company was founded in 1907 by John T. Sherwood and his brother Harry. The company manufactured agricultural supplies such as fertilizer, seed, and machines for farmers. In 1922, the company became known as the United States Rubber Company after it acquired a controlling interest in that company. In 1936, the United States Rubber Company merged with Midland Corporation to become American Tire & Wheel Co., which continued to produce agricultural products until it was sold to Bridgestone in 1987. In 1968, Sherwood Manufacturing Company merged with Wagon Wheel Cycle Works Incorporated to form Wagon Wheel Motorsports Incorporated; this company produced motorcycle sales and service parts until 1984 when it was sold to Can Am Corporation. Can Am Corporation operated the business until 1997 when it closed down due to low demand for motorcycle parts and ceased operations altogether. In 2007, two brothers from neighboring towns in Huron County started a manufacturing business called Big Sky Marketing which produces high capacity kits called "Big Sky Kits". Big Sky Marketing is currently being run by their father - who has been doing so since 2006 - and their brother Bobby from Enterprise Depot store in Sheridanville (in Boone County.) They began production of these kits in late 2007 using old dismantled Harley Davidson motorcycles that were lying around their shop floors unused because they could not find anyone who wanted them!

It is part of the Little Rock–North Little Rock–Port Conway Combined Statistical Area. The town was founded in 1881 by John C. Sherwood and named after him. The first post office was established in 1882, and the town had a population of only 10 people when it incorporated as a town in 1912. In 1914, the name was changed to Sherwood because of advances in transportation that made shipping goods to and from other towns much easier than previous methods. A new courthouse was built in 1924 and dedicated by President Woodrow Wilson. A number of businesses were located within the limits of Sherwood until they closed or relocated elsewhere during the late 1990s - including an IGA grocery store (closed 2000), two car dealerships (closed 2001 and 2002), four convenience stores (closed 2003-2004), a hardware store (closed 2005) and one lumber company (Closed 2006). The community's last business closed down on November 1st 2006 due to declining sales; however, there are still remnants of what once were these businesses left throughout downtown Sherwood today such as several telephone poles still standing with copper wiring running around them which has been used for power generation since 2007 ever since this particular business went out of business
