Sherwood is a small town in Johnson County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 1,521 at the 2010 census. Sherwood is located on the eastern edge of the Johnson County metropolitan area and is part of the Little Rock–North Little Rock–Arkansas Metropolitan Statistical Area. The community was founded in 1907 by John W. Sherman and his wife Agnes (née Cook). Sherman's parents had emigrated from England in 1872 and he became a naturalized American citizen in 1903. The first post office in Sherwood was established in 1907, and it continued to be operation until it closed in 1953. John W. Sherman died in 1924; his wife Agnes served as the town's first mayor from 1923 to 1925. They had four children: John W., Patricia (Pat), Howard (Howie) and Shirley (Shirley Ann). Pat married Rick Hockaday, who would later become one of the most prominent local entrepreneurs of his era. Rick Hockaday helped found the Little Rock Air National Guard Base and also business interests including restaurant ownership and real estate development throughout downtown Little Rock before dying unexpectedly at age 72 years old on July 4, 2003 after a long career at Business Enterprises Regional Services Inc.. His son Rick Hockaday succeeded him as owner/manager of both businesses before selling them to their daughter Shirley Ann for $30 million during her father's death sale transaction which also included several other assets such as an airport hangar used by Delta Airlines that he built with money raised through his father's grocery store chain Sherwood has experienced significant growth over its past few decades due to numerous new residents moving into town during those years as well as various investment opportunities brought about by various economic changes that have emerged over time such as oil production leaving Mid- Arkansas Bottomless Well field inactive during much of this time while important就是晚食的事情而已

Sherwood is a small town in Pulaski County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 2,090 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Little Rock–North Little Rock–Westville, AR-MO Metropolitan Statistical Area. The community was founded in 1906 by pioneers who arrived from Illinois and Missouri. The name comes from the old Sherwood Forest near Chicago. The first post office was established in 1907 and functioned until 1959. From 1916 to 1917, Sherwood served as home to the Arkansas Infantry Regiment which fought in World War I on the Western Front. In 1935, paperback books were first published in America and Sherwood became known as "the publishing center of Arkansas." During World War II, Sherwood played an important role as an airfield for military operations over northwestern Arkansas and southeastern Missouri including support for Operation Overlord; one of the largest amphibious assaults ever mounted. In 1955, a new shopping mall opened in nearby Westville which soon became known as "The Mall". By 1960, it had become one of the most prominent shopping destinations in Pulaski County with more than 100 stores including Sears Roebuck & Co., JCPenney Inc., Macy's Department Store and Ford Motor Company's White House dealership among its anchor tenants. In 1978, Interstate 40 replaced US 70 through Pulaski County leading to increased traffic congestion at local intersections causing some businesses to close their doors while others converted into enclosed malls such as "The Mall" (now Century 21) or "The Forum". One year later another major development occurred when Riverview Shopping Center (now Walmart) built a large distribution plant adjacent to its parking lot that led to increased business opportunities for Sherwood residents and created many new jobs throughout the area including manufacturing activities at Riverview itself as well as outside retailers like Lowe's National Hardware Stores and Tyson Foods Inc.; all of which remain present today within walking distance of each other with no sign that they once operated out of separate buildings across acres of open land just south of Interstate 40! Today's economy has seen renewed growth thanks to numerous additions such as Walgreens Boots Alliance - which announced plans to build a larger store next door - Hi-Lo Liquors - whose owner operates eight convenience stores throughout Pulaski County - Kroger Supermarket - now anchored by Trader Joe's - along with several restaurants both national chains (Pizza Hut/ Subway/ Dunkin' Donuts) and locally owned (Buca di Bianca). With so much activity happening right next door there are few places left to walk if you want peace and quiet these days... but don't forget about those amazing antique shops just east off I-40!
