As the world’s largest ammunition producer, Hornady has a long and revered history in Searcy, Arkansas. A century ago, these skilled armsmiths produced high-quality rounds for military and hunting use. Today, Hornady still produces ammunition that is well-respected by shooters around the world. The first settlers in Searcy were farmers who arrived in the early 1800s. They began growing corn and wheat on their families’ farms and found enough fuelwood to keep their fire burning until they could find more trees or lumber to build homes with. By 1820, the town had developed into a small but vibrant community of about 100 people. An early settler named John Pemberton was instrumental in helping establish Hornady Ammunition Company as one of America’s leading ammo producers. In 1875, Pemberton purchased land near Searcy from a group of investors for $1 million. He founded the company with his brother Elijah Hornaday and two other men – William Goodrich and Samuel Morse – and began producing high-quality rounds for both military and hunting use. Over time, Hornady Ammunition Company became an iconic name in American ammunition production. The company manufactured shells that featured beautiful designs such as Lady Liberty holding an upraised shield; buffalo heads striking enemies below; rifles barrelmarked “Hornady” above the round case head; arrows with geometric patterns printed on them;and pistols chambered for its namesake cartridge – .22 Long Rifle (LR). In 1978, Hornady merged with Remington Arms Corporation to form what is now known as Remingtonrumors Holdings Incorporated (RHI). RHI continues to produce premium firearms cartridges under multiple brands including Ruger®, Winchester®, Savage®, Colt® & Sig Sauer® products lineups.

Searcy, Arkansas is a small town located in the Ozarks region of northeastern Arkansas. The population was 9,711 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Searcy County and home to the Searcy Municipal Airport. The area that now makes up Searcy was first settled by European Americans in 1819. What is now Searcy was part of Chilton County until 1836, when it became part of Arkadelphia County. In 1881, it became a city and was named after Hernando Sousa Searcy, an American general who served in Mexico and Louisiana during the Mexican-American War. The post office at Searcy was established in1886 and changed its name to Searcyville in 1912. The city boundaries were expanded to include present-day Muskogee County on July 1, 1927. On December 1, 1960, Searcy became the townsite for what would become Arkadelphia Township. The township had been organized as a result of a consolidation process followingArkansas' admission to the Union as a state in1861. In 1963, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) began construction on what would become one of their most famous projects – White Sands Missile Range – which would be located just outside of town limits and ultimately affect many residents including future Earvin Johnson president Michael Jordan Sr.. ADM continued expanding into town limits with other businesses such as Hobby Lobby opening up shop within walking distance from downtown while Sears closed its doors entirely within town limits only 3 years later due to financial difficulties brought about by competition from Amazon Prime
The first cartridge to be used in a firearms service was the musket. It was discovered by muzzle-loading pioneers in 1795. The first real breech loading firearms were the Spencer rifle and pump shotgun, which used cylindrical cartridges with small holes punched through them for firing. These early firearms required reloading often, since one round could fire many times. In 1859, John Brown and George Dixon developed the revolver, which allowed shooters to chamber more than one shot at a time without having to reload. This made revolvers popular among law enforcement officers and soldiers who needed reliable firepower while on duty or when hunting game. In 1865, Julius Caesar issued Order No. 5 of that name calling for all handgun arms be manufactured with rifled barrels as standard equipment in order to improve accuracy and shooting performance. Rifled barrels were later adopted by other armies and are still used today in certain rifles and shotguns

Searcy was a small town in southern Arkansas during the 1800s. It was originally called "Pineville" and "Ripple." The first settler in Searcy was John Searcy, who arrived in 1779. He built a cabin on the banks of the Little Piney River. In 1827, Abel Ladd settled here and founded the city of Searcy. By 1840, there were over fifty residents in Searcy. The town prospered because it had a flour mill, cotton gin, harness factory, and post office. At one time, searchers for treasure found gold coins and other valuable items near Searcy. In 1868, an express train derailment caused $5 million worth of damage to the town's infrastructure; however, little damage occurred to its buildings subsequent to this event. Despite these challenges, Searcy continued to grow until it reached its peak population of 1,500 residents in 1911. However, by 1915 it had shrunk to just seventy-eight residents due to economic factors such as prohibitionism and World War I efforts to relocate Arkansans from their homes into military camps. Today only a few remains of Searcy remain – including its flour mill which is now used as a museum open daily 9am-4pm (closed Dec 1-Feb 2) – while much of what once thrived within its boundaries has been destroyed by development or natural disasters such as floods or hurricanes
