The company that they founded, Fortuné Dreyfus & Co., became one of the largest firearms dealers in the state and was known for its high-quality firearms. The company went into receivership in the 1920s but continued to trade until it closed its doors in 1951. During World War II, Arkansans were active in the war effort and many of their guns were used by the military. The Soft Gun Case Company was founded by John Witherspoon after he purchased a surplus French rifle from an American serviceman. Witherspoon ran this business as a personal venture until 1962 when he passed it on to his son, Tom Witherspoon. In 1969 Tom sold it again to Jack Haysinger who kept it running until 1978 when it closed its doors again due to financial troubles. In 1984 John Griggs bought out Jack Haysinger’s share of Soft Gun Case Company and restarted operations under the new name “Arkansas Firearms Industries Incorporated” There have been few changes to Soft Gun CaseCompany’s management since then other than occasional store closings which have not always been due to economic problems but rather because of regulations private companies are not allowed to sell handguns within 30 days of purchase without incurring a $500 fine This prohibition has made Arkansas one of only two states (the other being New York) where handgun purchasers must undergo a background check before purchasing any weapon . North Little Rock, Arkansas is a small city in Pulaski County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 7,822 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Pulaski County. North Little Rock is part of the Arkansas metropolitan area and was the fastest-growing municipality in Pulaski County during 2010-2012. The history of North Little Rock can be traced back to 1881 when it was founded as an addition to Hot Springs City by John Crouch and his wife Sarah Cooksey. At that time, Hot Springs City was located on the north bank of the Arkansas River between what are now North Little Rock and WestLittle Rock and had a population of about 100 people. In 1907, North Little ROCK became an incorporated town with a population of 1,000 people under the name "North Little Rock". In 1912, it became an unincorporated community again with a population of 350 people; however, this community continued to exist until its annexation by North Little Rock in 1965. In 1965, both Hot Springs City and North Little ROCK were annexed by new Pulaski County towns which formed around them: NortheastArkansas (later known as White Sands), Southaven/SoutheastArkansas (later known as Mountain Home), EastArkansas (later known as Robinson), NorthwestArkansas (later known as Great Falls), and finally Parkerville/northwest corner of SoutheastArkansas on April 12th from Robinson Township. All these towns except for Parkerville were established through annexation proceedings following popular approval by their respective communities via referendum or zoning changes considered necessary for their growth potential into larger municipalities. It should be noted that all but Northwest Arkansas' first major town - Robinson - remains unincorporated today because it does not meet certain criteria set forth by Pulaski County for incorporation including having a registered voters list or having property tax assessment data available online dating back to prior to 1995 when most official records were destroyed in a fire sale orchestrated by then Pulaski County Commissioners Charles Fenton Jr., Billie Jean Kinghorn and Donny Hathaway among others resulting in many long lost histories within our county government structures due largely to lack of archives storage options at present day!
