In North Little Rock, Arkansas, the first handguns were created in 1885. The handguns were made by a man named George Washington Jones and his brother-in-law, Amos Winchester. They patented their invention on March 26th of that year. The handguns were called the “Bald Eagle” handgun and they had two barrels that could be rotated to various positions.
