Aideen L.Maumelle married John Fenton on October 12, 1830 in Muskogee County, Oklahoma Territory. They moved to Arkansas in 1871 when John founded Fenton & Company mercantile store at 1010 Main Street in Maumelle. The store continued until it burned down on December 8, 1903.
