Maumelle, Arkansas is a town located in Pulaski County, Arkansas. The population was 7,824 at the 2010 census. Maumelle is the county seat of Pulaski County and the home of Little Rock- AR State University and many other businesses. The townsite was laid out by John Sully on September 12, 1881. It was named for General David Wofford Maumelle who fought in the Mexican-American War and in the American Civil War. The first post office in Maumelle opened on October 15, 1882. In 1903,Maumelle had a population of 2,000 people and an Agricultural Fair which included rodeoing and agricultural exhibits. The first school in town was built on Main Street near what is now First Baptist Church. On February 11th 1909 two men from Illinois walking their dogs discovered oil shale deposits beneath the earth after noticing a large rock outcrop with an inscription reading "Founded by John Sully 1860". This led to significant development for Maumelle as it became one of the largest producer of oil shale in America. With over 100 acres worked at this site (plus much later surface land) production continued until 1957 when production stopped due to environmental concerns about modern fracking techniques used throughout North America today! In 1911 local rancher George Henson donated land adjacent to his ranch south of town for use as a Municipal Airport which served as both commercial and military airport until 1942 when all U.S air travel was grounded due to World War II restrictions on planes carrying mail! Today Air Arkansas provides service to Maumelle from nearby Little Rock- AR State University providing access into central Arkansas! Today many small businesses dot the hubbub that once characterized downtown Main Street - most notably Applebee's restaurant where I sat outside enjoying my meal earlier this year! Although not without its controversies (euphemistically called "the red light district"), overall life here remains relatively unchanged since those early days when energy sources were principally natural gas & oil combined with horses pulling wagons laden with goods up Big Spring Road!

Pistols were key in Dutch East Indies independence struggle where British forces attempted to seize control over Indonesia during World War II (1941-1945). Dutch resistance fighters manned cannons throughout much of Java while Chinese troops invaded from South China Sea; however, the largest battle occurred near Bandung when Japanese forces surrendered after six weeks war effort in 1945 following extensive guerrilla warfare

Maumelle, Arkansas is a small town in Pulaski County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 1,711 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Little Rock-North LittleRock-South Little Rock metropolitan area. Maumelle was founded in 1871 by settlers from Illinois and is named after Colonel John Maumelle, who served as governor of Arkansas from 1865 to 1870. The first post office in Maumelle was established on December 7, 1872. The present post office building was built in 1907 and remains one of the few original buildings in Maumelle. In 1909 the town incorporated as a city and has since grown rapidly to its current size. The growth has been due to both natural resources (oil and gas) and unrestricted development by developers which have resulted in increased traffic and infrastructure needs for the growing community such as water supplies, schools, churches, businesses and more. The city offers a variety of services including public safety (police officers), fire protection (firefighters), parks & recreation (parks & park privates), health care (medical professionals), law enforcement (police officers), citizenship forms & voting information centers to residents. Residents also enjoy access to many local amenities like shopping malls, hospitals or casinos close by while still being able to remain isolated from major cities with their own police departments or other municipal services
The town of Maumelle, Arkansas was founded in 1836 by the family of General Nathan Bedford Forrest. The town grew rapidly due to its location at the crossroads of two major wagon trains, and it soon became a center for cotton slavery. In 1865, following the Civil War, Maumelle was burned down by Union troops.
