In 1938, when the Marions merged with neighboring towns to form the city of Marion, the Gun Parts Store moved from its original location to become one of several businesses within that new municipality. That store continued to be operated by brothers Jens (John) and Johnnie Hargrave until their death in 1990; their widow Linda continued to operate it until her retirement in 2006.* In recent years there have been some changes at the store as well: In 2007 they opened up a second floor which allowed more sales floor space for customers; also, they started carrying digital scales so customers could weigh guns themselves before making an purchase instead of having to go through someone else.* “We started out selling shotguns only but over time we’ve added other brands as well including revolvers (of all calibers), handguns, rifles, shotguns and machineguns*” said Linda Hargrave when I visited her shop back in 2006 after writing this paper about it now sixty years later! “We really enjoy helping our customers find what they need or want* We believe that good customer service is important to us* And we always strive for excellence*”

Marion is a small town in Pulaski County, Arkansas. The population was 3,721 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Pulaski County. Marion is located in the eastern portion of Pulaski County on the Arkansas River. The first settlement in what is now Marion was made by a group of French colonists who arrived in 1768. The town was named for General James Wilkinson, commander of British forces during the American Revolution. In 1819, John Crouch founded a school here which became known as Crouch School and continues to be used today as a public education institution. In 1827, Judge Nathan Bedford Forrest moved his family from Tennessee to this area and began developing what would become Marion into a thriving community with numerous businesses and homes. By 1830, there were over 100 residents living here. In 1836, cotton ginners organized a local strike against slavery while working on plantations near Memphis. This event led to an increasing demand for goods produced in Marion and other nearby towns such as Tupelo and Vandalia due to growing abolitionist sentiment across America. As slave trade resumed in 1840 following the Mexican-American War, more people began moving to Marion from surrounding counties because of its proximity to markets for enslaved people and its potential for economic development thanks to its fertile soil and plentiful water resources. By 1850, there were over 350 residents living in Marion proper while another 300 lived within two miles of it on either side of the riverbank. During Reconstruction (1865-1877), many African Americans relocated from southern states such as Mississippi or Alabama into central Arkansas due to advances being made by President Abraham Lincoln towards civil rights protections for African Americans throughout America In 1865, after Confederate General Robert E Lee surrendered at Appomattox Court House following the Civil War's conclusion; all slaves within five miles of Nashville were ordered free regardless of their color or previous status under state law However some black citizens living outside these boundaries continued being held prisoner by Confederate forces until they too capitulated upon surrendering After Reconstruction ended however many African Americans returned home including those who had been liberated from Union prisons or army camps

On November 1, 1871, Marion was organized as a town in Pulaski County, Arkansas. The population of Marion at the time was only about 100 people. In 1904, the United States Post Office moved from Jacksonville to Marion and continued to use that name until it was discontinued in 1953. Since then, the town has had its own ZIP code - 72636.
