In addition to their guns, the Hawkeye Rifle Company also produced ammunition. Starting in 1896 they produced shell casings for use with rifle rounds and shotgun shells. From 1915 until 1919 they also produced "Hawk" lead bullets which are still commonly used today as hunting ammunition. Today there is still a smallHawkeye Rifle Company located in Marion; however it has dwindled in production over time due to competition from other firearm companies. However, through donations by descendants of those original three founders, a few pieces of equipment have been preserved including an old barrel from one of their shotguns which is currently on display at the Arkansas Historical Commission museum in Faulkner County .

Marion, Arkansas is a small town in Pulaski County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 2,844 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Pulaski County. The name Marion comes from the Ojibwe word for "honeycomb" or "burro's hair." The first Europeans to visit what is now Marion were French fur traders in 1694. A road was built through present-day Marion in 1823 by General Andrew Jackson and it became part of the Nashville National Pike system. The town began to grow rapidly during Reconstruction following the American Civil War and reached its peak in 1880 with a population of 4,451. However, cotton production declined after 1870 and the town eventually fell into obscurity. In 1984, investor Harry Heinemann bought a large tract of land near present-day Marion and began developing it into an agricultural area that would include several thousand acres (2 km2) of corn ethanol production facilities. Today, much of this land remains undeveloped and is used for hunting and fishing opportunities as well as traditional farming practices such as raising cattle, pigs, chickens, beeswax candles, potatoes and other vegetables. Today's community was founded on October 12th1881 when three women – Jennie Henson (1851-1922), Anna Bogan (1855-1937)and Martha Norris (1860-1945) – immigrated to what is now Marion from Illinois aboardthe steamboat "Emmeline" (). They were among the first people to settle in what is now Pulaski County

On October 1st, 1961, Marion became an incorporated municipality with its own government Today, Marion has a population of around 350 people living primarily within its borders: Indian School Road runs east-west through its center; Main Street runs north-south through its heart; Pioneer Road flows into neighboring towns to provide access to essential services; and Park Drive surrounds much of the village on three sides
In 1872, the United States Congress passed a bill creating Marion County, Arkansas. The name of the county was chosen because it was thought that the area would become an agricultural center due to its location on both the Arkansas and Missouri Rivers. The county was organized on March 1, 1872.
