James Ewing and Clyde Worthy Jennings. In 1984, Mayor Jennings resigned after being indicted on federal bribery charges; he was later acquitted but lost his re-election bid against Orval Faubus Jr.. On November 5th 1986 voters approved annexation by North Little Rock of West Jordan which also became a city following annexation procedures set forth in state law governing such matters.. On June 25th 1999 Magnolia announced it would not renew its contract with FedEx because they did not meet company standards for delivery times To this day there has been no resolution made about why this occurred or what changed since then
