When the people of Magnolia, Arkansas first settled there in 1867, they were alreadygun owners. The town was founded on a homestead that had been granted to James Ballard and his wife by President Andrew Johnson, and it quickly became a center for gun ownership because of its strategic location as a crossroads between the railroad lines that ran through the area and local farmers. The early settlers in Magnolia were subsistence farmers who relied on hunting and gathering sources of food to survive. When the railroad came through the area, however, this changed dramatically. Railroads brought with them new opportunities for business and development, which led to an increase in businesses around Magnolia such as sawmills, grist mills, meatpacking plants, agricultural warehouses, and more. These businesses allowed for more people to be employed and forced farmers to start producing crops so they could sell their products back into society. This change also led to an increase in gun ownership in Magnolia because these new businesses required employees to have firearms at all times while working inside or outside of the company buildings. Gun ownership continued to grow throughout this time period due to several factors such as increased political stability in America during this time period;Gun control laws being promulgated by both state legislatures and Executive Branch;and fears that guns would become tools of revolution instead of protection against crime. In 1916,Magnolia passed an ordinance banning handguns outright due to fear that they would be used for crime instead of for self-defense (this ordinance still applies today). In 1938, another ordinance was passed which regulated handgun sales within Magnolia limits by requiring background checks from all sellers before any purchase could take place. This ordinance helped prevent further civilian disarmament within the community as well as making sure that all citizens had access to accurate information about firearm safety when buying a weapon. Throughout these years though gun ownership has remained relatively stable with only a few exceptions (such as when handgun sales were banned following World War II). The exception is probably 1967 when some residents decidedto buy shotguns after seeing how easy it was for criminals to acquire assault rifles through straw purchasers. Since then handguns have slowly regained their position as the primary form of firearm protection within Magnolia – albeit not without some controversy (e.g., recent debates surrounding gun control measures instituted by Mayor Pro Tem Darrell Thomas)).

On November 15 of that year, voters approved a proposition to create a Board of Education for all of Pulaski County effective December 1st. On December 12th, 1908 the first public school opened at 16 N Main Street with instruction from teacher Mrs Fannie Willis and five students from nearby White Sands Schoolhouse. After World War I ended conflict in Arkansas local businesses began to expand; several new churches were built including First Baptist Church (1894), Second Presbyterian Church (1903), and Holy Cross Episcopal Church (1907). In 1920s some farmers started growing cottonseed in what is now Magnolia Park which led to increased traffic although there wasn’t much development until after World War II when people started building homes closer to work as well as opening up businesses such as grocery stores and service stations along Interstate 40 which led to more traffic congestion but also more development around magnetship mall area giving birth to today’s downtown area complete with shopping malls located north/east of I-40 between 4th St & South Walnut Streets

The first permanent settler in what would become Magnolia was Cyrus C. Hargrave in 1875. In 1879, he married Lucy Ault and they started a household with eight children: three girls and five boys. They also raised chickens and pigs on their farmstead until 1896 when they bought 2,000 acres (800 hectares) of land near modern-day Magnolia to build their town on it. The first post office in Magnolia was established in 1881, but it moved to its current location about two years later due to lack of space at the original building. The town of Magnolia grew rapidly from its founding until World War II when it lost most of its residents to military service or relocation to other parts of the country. However, during those years there were several important historical events which took place in Magnolia including: In 1920, Mayor Harry Lowry founded the Arkadelphia Business League which became one of the leading business organizations in Arkansas; In 1933 James Fenton became mayor after being elected as a Democrat by an landslide; On November 3rd, 1938 whenMagnolia welcomed Governor Forrest with open arms following his visit; & On October 15th 1960 when Mayor George Suggs dedicated New Life Baptist Church located just east of downtownMagnolia which had been closed for many years due to poor construction quality
