Jonesboro is located in Pulaski County, Arkansas, about 25 miles east of Little Rock. The population was 20,814 at the 2010 census. Jonesboro is the county seat. The town was founded by Major General Nathan Bedford Forrest in 1881 as a small farming community named Fort Bridger on the banks of the Arkansas River. The name may be derived from a Cherokee word meaning "place where people gather." In 1901, when Jonesboro became a city, it was renamed for General Robert E. Lee who had served in the Confederate Army during the American Civil War and later became an important political figure in Virginia. Jonesboro experienced greatly increased development following World War II when it became one of two principal locations for production of aluminum cans and other products used in wartime production. After the war, Jonesboro grew rapidly as a bedroom community for Little Rock until its decline during the late 1970s and early 1980s due to several factors including high real estate prices and significant competition from neighboring cities such as Arkadelphia and ARLINGTON. However, recent efforts by Mayor Darlene Jarrett have revived interest in downtown Jonesboro which has seen new development including a new library, restaurant, auto shop and movie theater. The city also hosts many events throughout the year that bring residents together to celebrate various aspects of local culture such as arts festivals or family fun days

The original AR15 Upper Receiver was made from aluminum and had a Picatinny rail on one side and an M4 style buffer tube on the other. It featured a six-position stock, which allowed users to adjust the rifle's height for more comfortable shooting. In 1999, Wilson produced his own handguard design that featured a quad rail on one side and an M4 style buffer tube on the other, making it easier for users to attach optics or lasers onto their rifles.Shortly after its release, Wilson began experiencing problems with his new handguard design; many of his customers were finding that it was not properly CNC machined or that it did not fit all of their firearms perfectly. He soon realized that he had created a successful business model when he could produce high quality products at low costs without having to worry about customer satisfaction or long term stability

Jonesboro is a small town in Pulaski County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 1,584 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Little Rock–North Little Rock–Arlington Metropolitan Statistical Area. Jonesboro was founded in 1873 by J.D. "Doc" Jones and his brother-in-law, John Lunsford. They named it for General Andrew Jackson's home state of Tennessee. In 1898, the town had a population of 2,000 and became an incorporated municipality under the name of Jonesboro on February 14, 1899. The community grew slowly until World War II when it became an important manufacturing center due to its cheap labor force and access to natural resources like coal and oil. The war also helped spur development in Jonesboro with the erection of new housing developments and the opening of numerous businesses such as banks, post office, grocery stores, auto parts stores and tire manufacturers. Businesses closed during the economic recession that followed the 2008 financial crisis but have resumed since 2009; however, joblessness remains a serious problem in Jonesboro today. Today's economy is based largely on services such as health care and education which are not suited to high-skill jobs because they require long hours or advanced training; however, new businesses have begun to open up in recent years offering opportunities for people with skills that can be used in those industries such as engineering or construction. Tourism has become a major factor throughout much of Pulaski County due to its historical significance – both as one of America's earliest settlements and as a center for military activity during World War II which left many artifacts behind including barracks buildings from Fort Smith Army Base which are now open to visitors!
Jonesboro was founded in 1872 by James W. Jones, a white lawyer and political operative. The town was named after Jones' father, who had died in a hunting accident three years earlier. By the early 1900s, Jonesboro had become a major cotton center, and its population grew to over 10,000 by 1914. growth brought challenges that continue to this day: the town's small size made it difficult to build roads and housing; moreover,Jonesboro's location on the Arkansas River made it vulnerable to flooding. In response to these problems, the city of Jonesboro began erection of large infrastructure projects such as a new waterworks and an expressway. In addition to its economic importance, Jonesboro also became an important cultural center during this time: the city hosted several major annual events including the Cotton Bowl Classic football game in 1932 and 1944 (the first modern Super Bowl), and served as the setting for many well-known plays and novels including James Baldwin's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel "The Color Purple".
